Name:

True Name: Ren Sagatoshi

Alias(es): Lore/EL

Basics

Age: 14

Occupation: Student

Status: Wammy Orphan

History:
Lore was born into a wealthy family, and is the youngest of three siblings. Her father had named her Ren in hopes that she would become a sharp business owner, sharp as a knife. Her older brother, Hiroshi, it the second youngest and is currently attending a College in Tokyo. Her older sister, Mikan, is a fashion designer in Tokyo, having already graduated from College. Her parents are both the heads of businesses in Tokyo.

As a child she was often forced to go to private schools, and lived a very strict life. After her older sister went away to college, Lore found herself watching her brother play games to pass the time. Lore's home was in a pent house, there where no other children in the building.

When she was five her mother and father where arrested for embezzlement, and Lore was tossed into an orphanage.

At the orphanage she cut her hair short, to a boyish extent. She began to use the male 'boku' for 'I' when speaking to everyone. While at the Japanese Orphanage, she began to get a reputation for creating complicated plans that would often work, and having a photographic memory. Granted most of them where for silly things, such as handing shoes over the room, but they where still marvelous none the less.

Lore eventually was welcomed into a local yakuza (Gang), and was taught how to fight and use explosives. Lore became very good friends with a man named 'Gonzo', who was a member of the gang. He taught her how to fight and the use of several Taijutsu techniques. She was eventually put on probation and was not allowed to leave the orphanage, despite her young age.

At the age of nine she was approached by the owner of the orphanage and a strange man. Lore was told she was going to be transferred to another orphanage on the other side of the world. She was left alone with the man, who told her that Lore possessed skills very useful to the world. He told her that she had intelligence to match some of the top heirs at the Wammy orphanage. Despite asking many questions, only a few of them where answered.

When she arrived at the orphanage she was given the alias EL, a variation on two former Students who had left the Wammy's. After the first week she stood out immediately. She would slack off in her classes, and often be seen listening to music while reading instead of studying. However despite these actions, she still remained passing with an B in the classes she took. Probably due to her photographic memory.

She rarely interacted with other students, and was often thought to be a boy by most of the students, due to her boyish hair, attitude, and the way she spoke. Lore fit perfectly into the ' Eccentric ' student genre, and was often talked about by the rest of Wammy's due to her unusual experiments. The experiments usually involved a question that had never been asked, and an explosion. She was also known for practical living at the library, and always having headphones around her neck.

Lore was given the nickname Lore, due to her knowledge of books and facts that she had accumulated over the years.

The wildest rumor surrounding Lore was that both her parents where criminals, which was true, to an extent. Other students would often whisper whether the child of two criminals could be trusted, but they never told her in her face, until she was twelve that is. After an argument with two other students, they shouted at her that she would never be L's successor, because of her parents. Lore was shocked, more over because even though she had not been aiming to be L's successor, but just to survive in the world that had gone mad over Kira.

After that day she decided to show the other students that a criminals daughter could become the successor to L. She began to study and do her work, her grades soon shot up, and she became one of the top students at Wammy's.

Personality: Lore is rather unusual for a Wammy student, often acting lazy or tired. She is much more calm than other students, and has many ' personalities '. Lore's view of the world is that, to survive you have to switch personalities, in a dangerous situation you have to be serious, in any other situation you have to be yourself. Lore's ' self ' is a aloof girl with an interest in the world around her. This interest often leads to her preforming strange and bizarre experiments, often resulting in explosions.

Lore is an expert in explosive devices and electronics, as she often uses them in her experiments. Due to her strange philosophy of multiple personalities, she is able to stay calm in situations that demand it, and has perfected the act of lying into an art. Lore dislikes it when someone tells her what she can and can't do, often leading to disputes with older students at Wammy's. When ever entering a new area she scans it over with hawk like eyes, this is due to the natural human paranoia that she possesses.

Appearance:

Hair Color and Style: Dark Raven Blue, and short boyish hair cut

Eye color: Black

Gender: Female

Overview: Lore's height is around 4'6, she's a shorty, and weighs around 108 pounds. She usually dresses in black pants, white blouse, and a black jacket. Her other usual outfits normally include jeans and a T-shirt of any color. She also takes to wearing her former Yakuza red arm band over her left arm.

Skills: Lore speaks fluent English and Japanese; she has skills with explosives, and is very gifted at cracking computer pass words. Lore was taught to fight on the streets, so her fighting style is very rough. While there are some hints of Taijutsu in her fighting styles, her fighting usually involved kicks, and circular motions. Her true skills lye in the Piano, an instrument she played as a child.

Sample:
Lore yawned as she leaned back in her chair, in front of her was a computer with several little doodles of different experimentations she wanted to try. She couldn't help but get a warm feeling when she thought of the resulting explosion. Sure she wasn't the perfect student, but her curious mind was what gave her the ability to reach past the other students who merely sat on the ground like earth worms, eating the dirt they already knew over and over again. Lore, however, wanted to know more than what she knew. Each question held an answer, each answer, another question, each time she gained more knowledge.

After she had started studying, she found it to be interesting, to read the book of history and the different opinions. One such was the death of the last Aztec Ruler, was he really pelted to death by his followers, or killed by the Spanish? What Lore had settled on due to all the clues was that the Spanish had killed them, and said it was the Aztecs to hid their own guilt, pitiful, yet an effective tool.

Another question that kept popping up in her mind, and several other students for that matter, was the mystery of Kira. The man, or woman, who had killed the person they where all attempting to follow. With every passing moment, the thought of not knowing who Kira was was getting more and more annoying.

Lore leaned her head on her desk, she turned to see the Baby pack piano sitting in the corner. Why did she have that in her room? Lore didn't dislike the piano, she just had other things she would rather be doing. However every other week she would play for the younger students at Wammy's, she enjoyed it, but would rather be solving some sort of question that had been haunting men for years.

Miscellaneous: Lore has a fascination with playing cards, often carrying them in her pockets.
