Diamond Mines The Diamond Mines are a system of complex subterranean caves deep below the earth. Since the establishment of Diadem, these mines have produced most of its wealth, the precious ores mined by the most dangerous criminals. Theft, murder - if a man commits such crimes he may find himself slaving away with a pic ax at the rock walls, chained to a large boulder for the remainder of his life. |

Highlands of Saothon The Highlands of Saothon is a large plateau in the lands of Aria. Immersed in light forested terrain, large cats and other various animals lurk in the tall grass, awaiting hapless passerby. A highly dangerous place, the Highlands of Saothon are full of rumors concerning treasure, hauntings, and bandit armies. The lone town in the northern areas of the highlands is the only shred of civilization here. |

Aegis The village of Aegis is a small town on the Adagio continent. Though a small, Aegis supplies food to nearly the entire region, thus earning a great amount of whealth. The food prices are usually quite fair, with the exception of those for Diadem. Aegis and Diadem have never been on good terms, and Aegis now has raised the price of their crops shipping to Diadem. Life here generally tends to be uneventful, save for one time a year when the Aegis holds a festival honoring Saria, Goddess of the Seasons. |

Rune Sea The Rune Sea is a gigantic body of salt water that feeds into the open ocean. Plagued by pirates, the Sea is quite dangerous. Dotted by islands of all sorts, the Rune Sea, despite its dangers, is a popular spot for tourists during the Winter months... as the sun always shines bright here. The pirates know this and prey upon anyone they happen to catch. |

Nocturne Forest This forest on the continent of Adagio gets its name from the almost dreamy spell it casts on those that travel grounds. Usually quite calm and peaceful, some parts of the forest are extremely dangerous. The thick, labyrinthine passages can cause unwary travelers to become lost. For the most part, the forest is home to all manner of life, and overall has quite a romantic atmosphere. |

Arctic Range The Arctic Range is the name given to a great area of land consisting of mountains, forests, lakes, and rivers. At all times of the year, a blanket of snow covers this domain. Life here is serene and often quiet. The only sign of civilization in this land are small mountain villages, with the occasional tavern or inn on one of the mountain roads. In the Arctic Range, people live alongside the wildlife, holding it with the utmost respect and do not tolerate its desecration... |

Ivalice Ivalice is a city of secrets, literally born from the earth. The buildings are made entirely out of quartz and and rare metals from the city’s mines. Known as the Crystal City, it is hidden by a protective barrier that only dissipates to those that align themselves to the Light. Inhabiting Ivalice, are the direct descendants of the ancient Armorians. With the exception of the Pegasus, outsiders who manage to pass the barrier are tolerated but never welcome. |

Lake Iliad Lake Iliad is said to be of unfathomable, immeasurable depths. Even the Water Nymphs, the race that makes its home on the lake’s bottom, have not been able to fully explore this gigantic lake. The lake in fact, is almost as large as the city of Diadem. A beautiful area, Lake Iliad is surrounded by lush forest and is dotted with both small and large isles. It is said that great monsters inhabit the depths and underwater caverns of the lake, but this rumor remains unconfirmed... |

Requiem Caverns The Requiem Caverns are a complex set of caves that run through the Nottorno Continent. Nobody knows how far these caves in fact go, but it is rumored that deep in their heart lies a hidden vein of gold. The caverns get their name from the wind that blows through them. In some way, wind passing through the caves and bouncing from the walls creates a sort of song heard only by the most aware. But one mystery stands above all... what is generating the winds coming from the caverns? |

Tri-tone Canyon The Tritone Canyon is the greatest canyon in all of Aria. Actually a group of three canyons that merge together at a central point, cultures around the world have come up with legends about them, most calling the Canyon an evil place. Despite its negative reputation, Tritone Canyon is a beautiful place. Snow falls here year round, and frozen trees dot the high cliffs and pleatues surrounding this place. |

Crescendo Heights The Crescendo Heights is a fairly large mountain range that runs through the heart of Fioritura Continent. These lands were once among the most beautiful of landscapes, cultivated by the people who lived there. It is said that the Megara, Goddess of Envy, became jealous of the people who lived here, and bribed several tribes of demons to destroy the people when there guard was down. If they could conquer the peoples of the mountains, the demons would get the Heights as reward. They succeeded, and brought the Crescendo Heights into an age of darkness, of evil. The tall mountains are now dark and evil, looming ominously in the horizon as a testament to the evils of envy... |

Ruins at Migard The Ruins at Migard are of Pegasi design, deep on the Continent of Fioretura. Once a city the size of Diadem, Migard fell into ruin supposedly a couple hundred years ago. The Pegasi here were miners and smiths and had built a great city. But in there labors, they uncovered something evil, something ancient... something that had been sealed away and was not supposed to be unlocked. Nobody knows what that something is, but many have speculations. Some say it was an ancient tool known as the Philosopher's stone, while others say it was some sort of monster. Regardless, all can agree that the Ruins are now extremely dangerous, inhabited by the undead souls of the peoples whom once inhabited them... |

Bloody Falls Through forgotten lands a large river flows, winding in and out of a high series of plateaus until it spills out into a deep valley. The point where the water falls has come to be called the Bloody Falls. Surrounded in lush vegetation, the falls were once the site of a great, ancient battle. It is said that a massive army, an alliance between Humans and Elves, fought off a demon invasion force here. Legend has it, that so many men died from both sides, that the river ran red with the blood of the fallen. Supposedly the spirits of the fallen reenact the battle on the same day every year... |

Malachite Woods The Malachite Woods gets its name from the malachite ore that is rich in its ground. Because of the ore rich soil, the trees here possess a slight turqoise color in the bark, and a beautiful silver sheen in the leaves. Although the forest is a natural wonder, few people travel here. The way light shines through the eaves of the trees, bends the true path through the forest. Those that trust their eyes to let them pass through the forest, find themselves wandering forever. |

Elegy Elegy, city of art and architecture. This city's foundations were built into the Etude river hundreds of years ago by water elementals and mer-folk. The only way into the city is to take the small ferry across the Etude River... or swim. Over time, Elegy grew, and became a vast cultural hub. Many of the best artists and architects call Elegy their home; as a result, the city is a magnificent sight. Beautiful fountains and sculptures dot the many squares, and the buildings themselves seem to have magical qualities. But times are changing. The government of Elegy has started tearing down some of the ancient statues and temples that honor nature and the gods. An outcry has gone up among the people, and the floating city is headed disaster. |

Etude River The Etude River is the largest, longest river in all of Aria, a perfect diagnol through the Rigaudon continent. The river is also noted to be one of the most beautiful landscapes in Aria. The terrain is mostly made up of high lush grass, with reeds dwellilng in the shallows. Like all trees on the Rigaudon continent, the few that populate the area are all petrified, the absolute power of time combined with natural mana springs turning their bark harder than stone. During sunset, the river comes alive as the mana energy that permeates the atmosphere comes to life, creating dazzling shows of light and energy. This natural wonder is home to many species of water-dwelling creatures, and is said to be the birthplace of the water elemental race. |

Kazaak Pools The Kazaak Pools is the one of the few places in Aria where natural mana springs bubble to the surface. This vast string of wetlands, lakes, and rivers cover the entire western edge of the continent. There are not many trees here, but those that are have become gigantic. Life among the wetlands is tranquil for the most part. Lately though, travellers have been discouraged from passing through the pools due to frequent attacks by a band of rogues. |

Madrigal The Madrigal is a dense, dark tropical forest in the center Rigaudon. To those that live on the continent, the Madrigal is known as the forest of time, as every one of its monstruous trees are petrified. To add to the mysticism of this forest, this area of the continent is bombarded by a constant rainfall, with the sun only shining through the clouds for merely a few weeks in the entire year. Nobody travels to this forest though, for terrible monsters and man-eating cannibalists live in the eaves of the trees. There is a shrine dedicated to Megarra in the eastern edge of the forest, and it is said that she, the Goddess of Envy, calls this terrible place home. |

Rubato Heights Rubato Heights is an architectural wonder, a city carved into the earth, carved into the mountains of the Rigaudon continent. Though this city has a rich arcitectural and archaeological past, travellers beware-- Rubato Heights is a city of debauchery and sin, of thieves, of pirates and rogues. If one needs to hire an assasin, a bounty hunter, a bodyguard... this is the place to go. The only law in this city is that one upholds the fabled ‘honor of thieves’. Watch your back and trust no one. |

Cantabile Sands The Cantabile sands are filled with wonder and intrigue. This sweltering desert sees very little rain, yet has some of the fastest winds in all of Aria. High power systems erode the landscape and kick up viscous clouds of grainy sand. It isn’t heat that kills here, but convection, as the high winds suck the moisture out of everything. Large, rolling dunes give the appearence of waves on an ocean, cresting and falling for endless miles. Fortunately for the wayward traveler, large aquafers, natural underground wells, are plentiful here, as are oases. |

Galliard, City of Holy Fire The oasis city of Galliard sits on the border of the Cantabile sands and the Medley River Valley. Inhabitants of Galliard follow a cult religion, and believe that any and all other beliefs are wrong and thus sinful. Galliard's military might rivals that of Diadem's and their passion and ferver make them potentially more dangerous. Despite this disposition, Galliard welcomes travellers and tourists as they see them as potential recruits to their religion. |

Treble Mountains The snowfilled peaks of the Treble Mountains stand tall in the horizon of the Rondo Continent. The climate hear is generally cold, snow falling in these high mountains about three quarters of the year. Almost in complete contrast to the climate, many of the peaks here are in fact active volcanos and smoke can often be seen bellowing out of at least one peak during the day. As a result, this region is possesses extreme seismic activity and can be potentially dangerous to for the unweary traveller. |

Medley River Valley The Medley River Valley is a lush, green region on the coast of the Rondo, where the Medley River, flowing out from the Treble Mountains, empties out into the ocean. The valley is wide and expansive, almost one hundred kilometers across, with rolling plains. This region is a fairly quiet one as the valley is hard to access and fairly secluded. Because of this seclusion, air and earth elementals like this place, and call it home. And they won't tolerate anybody desecrating it. |

Alto Springs The Alto Springs is a network of hot springs near the seismically active region of the Treble Mountains. Underground water, superheated by magma from the active volcanos in the mountains, bubbles up to the surface. These waters are said to have once been a place of worship for peoples of Aria, and have very relaxing properties. The region is fairly rocky, and the climate here is cold and snowy year round. The Alto Springs are fairly barren as well, and only a few groves of trees dot the landscape. |
