Yes...Blazey boy has gotten himself into a fun sport, once again. After he decided agilty wasn't his thing and his mother completely owned him in herding - the little chap has moved onto frisbee! Now both him and his father love the sport, the only problem is that he won't bring it back and if he does, well, to say the least it's hell trying to get the darn thing from him. So I was wondering what exactly I need to do to fix this problem? Or really any help at all with the sport would do some good. -Such a newb at frisbee.-

are you using one frisbee ?

if that's the case, try at least 2 frisbees, the one your holding is much more fun than the one he's got.
not letting go of the frisbee is a real Border Collie thing.
at home you can start with trying to swap the frisbee for the one you got.
swap and swap etc. of course when your alone with him.

if you have any more questions about dogfrisbee I'll be glad to try and help you.

Am I missing something here? I used to play frizby with charlie all the time, if I was working on a beach and I had him with me he would bark relentlessly until I threw it and boy could he run! he would bring it back and let me take it, if I did not take it he would drop it at my feet, or some other innocent passer by and bark until it was thrown.
now my question is, is there some sort of actual "dog sport" involving frizby's?
because if there is I would love to get involved in it if my new dog fancy's it when he is older.

Hi Y'all,

In Holland we've got lots of competitions and training facilities.
The Dutch Dogfrisbee Organisation is the DOG www.dogfrisbee.nl
There's even a European Rankinglist.
Last month we had the Eruopean Championships in Poland
that was great fun http://dogfrisbee.org/e_index.html
I've been a Dogfrisbee instructor and now I'm a (international) Judge.

So, in short: Yes Dogfrisbee is a wonderfull & fun Dogsport, very versatile.

I found an Englisch Dogfrisbee website http://discdogsuk.bravehost.com/
There seem to be Dogfrisbee Events in England, take a look at their website.

greetzzz Diny
