Title: The Weekend
Claire - April 20, 2007 10:12 AM (GMT)
So where is everyone this weekend?
I am doing Wallingford for the first time and also my first time to Newbury - dreading the early start on Saturday so hoping the weather will hold.

I'm at Wallingford on Saturday.
There is a UKA show in Essex on Sunday and they are acception pay on day entries, so am considering doing that on Sunday.

Well i only entered on day at Wallingford and know I am gonna fancy a run or two on Sunday. Could train my contacts with Twix as well and put toy on the floor... hm. Didn't even realise there was one that close. But as they are taking entries on the day, I may well go along.
Mind you Twix isn't registered yet. Oops. So will have to do that. Think I still have Mika registered!
Am trying to convince myself to go.
Hm shall I or not.. oo hate making decisions.
Reckon i'll end up going.

char - April 20, 2007 12:57 PM (GMT)
Well I was going to work both days instead of doing wallingford, but now Im working saturday and then just sunday evening, so might do newbury on sunday, as ill be finished just after lunch hopefully. And I sooo need to practise tias contacts before shrews, lol.
Claire - April 20, 2007 02:24 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a good weekend for all then.
It is only the early morning putting me off Newbury but everybody says how good it is up there so gotta be worth a visit.
Lisa, Lolly keeping herself covered up - never happens does it...... *angelic*
Carol - April 20, 2007 02:53 PM (GMT)
Hi Lisa. Haven't seen you round here before ::wave::
As to this weekend, *sad* *sad*. Will be wondering what Wallingford would be like if I was there. Mick's grounded & his physio won't let me go out to play until next weekend. So it'll be lots of *housewife* for me this weekend.
Lorna&Dawgs - April 20, 2007 02:58 PM (GMT)
Off to Wallingford each day (its only about 40 mins for me to drive so not really worth camping). Roger is working Saturday so I have his dogs to run as well but he might be able to pop in between jobs as the show is in the area he covers.
Teams Saturday and Pairs Sunday nailbiting
Claire - Newbury is ok.......but not my fav venue as its on the junction of a busy dual carriageway and a motorway!
Good Luck to everyone this weekend beersmilie
Regards Lorna waggingd

Didnt you guys win at WBSDS??
ginauk84 - April 20, 2007 05:08 PM (GMT)
Walligford on the Saturday. Team run, we only had 5 for a missed weave entry in our team last time.
madredthing - April 20, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
If you are not in Skaterboy's half of Team Dash, you will be in mine (or in the case of Mand etc you may be in both!)
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow as it's my first KC judging appointment as I only passed the exam last year.
Will just have to stop thinking about Rush for long enough to concentrate on my judging (just as well I don't pick him up until next weekend!)

Yep! Guess we are running NFC. But sh! I haven't told Twix's team that. And we haven't got a reserve so it's run with Twix or nothing!
The silly thing is there is virtually no chance that we will be at the final, so would rather have come 2nd and still had proper fun!!!

That's a shame, can't people make it?
madredthing - April 21, 2007 07:40 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure it would be a matter of geographics - ie if people weren't intending to go to Dashin Dogs (living in Kent as they do) then it doesn't make much sense to haul all the way up there for the final on the Friday, only to then come back down to Peterborough for the KC International Festival ...
Last year I did Dashin Dogs - KC Festival - DiN and it took me a month to get over it .... it's a lot of driving ...
Lolly - April 23, 2007 02:49 PM (GMT)
Really enjoyed Wallingford, classes are soooo much different than down in Devon though!!!, but was good and will def do more shows there. And yes Lisa I did keep myself covered up :P .
Was lovely to see (Harrjak) Mac and have loads and loads of cuddles with him, he's so gorgeous!!!!!
On another note, there was a dog at Ring 2 Sunday afternoon that looked like it had hurt itself quite badly and there was a vet looking over it, does anyone know it if was ok in the end (collie and had a very bright pink halti and was not a happy doggy :( )
Boo Girl - April 23, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
Hi Lolly
It was Hoax bright pink Halti they just borrowed so the vet could get to see him.
I want to find out aswell if he was ok, Kobus (the vet) thought he may have slipped a disc as he had no sensation in his back leg at the bottom at all

Chel - April 23, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
i had probs getting my new van ( all got now tho) so couldnt make dartmoor, so spent the weekend mainly in bed, out drinking, dog walking or in the shower.....all with a very nice young man! i shall say no more! but cant get much better a weekend than that really! (.....ok, maybe if i cud of dun the show ASWELL as everything else??!!!)
Lolly - April 24, 2007 08:41 AM (GMT)
Oh blimey Gemma, thats what we were worried about when he was lifting the back foot off and then when the dog was standing it looked quite hunched when it walked. Its just so scarey when you see things like that and how easily it could happen.
And on a lighter note - Dirty Girl Chel!

Chel, I saw you briefly at Cornwall, but didn't see your new man.
I hope he wasn't the spiky blond guy with about 6 inches of his boxers showing before his shorts started???? Yeah, I'm nosy as well, and maybe a bit of a fuddy duddy too, but I like to keep my undies covered up. (Lolly, I know you like to show yours off, but .....)
