Title: Flatcoat retriever puppies stolen in North West.

Fudgeley - May 20, 2008 10:42 PM (GMT)
I am posting a copy of my friends press release regarding the theft of her two flattie pups, babies who need their mum still. Can anyone who can please crosspost to any other canine forum?

Appeal for information on stolen puppies

A DOG breeder is appealing for help after two puppies were snatched from a Cheshire home, yesterday (Thursday, May 15).

Urgent information is needed on the whereabouts of two rare black flatcoated retriever puppies after they were stolen from The Alvanley Arms Inn, near Tarporley, between 2.30pm – 3pm.

The pups – only five-and-a-half weeks old – are too young to survive without their mother and siblings and owner Janet King is urging people across the North West to be on the lookout.

“These puppies are in real danger. I’m very concerned for their welfare as many people will not know how and struggle to look after dogs so young – as they require regular attention, care and feeding every few hours,” explained Janet.

“I am appealing to everyone to be vigilant and keep a lookout for the two puppies, whether it’s if a neighbour has unexpectedly got a new puppy or if someone has been offered one in a local pub. Flatcoated retrievers grow into big dogs that can be highly strung and difficult to handle if you don’t have the correct training and experience.”

Vets across Cheshire and Merseyside and the Flatcoated Retriever Society have been alerted to the missing puppies and flyers have been handed out in the local area.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Janet King on 01829 760696.

Thanks for the cross post Leanneh. The more people that know the better.I just can't stop thinking abou where they are and how they are doing. The biggest worry is that they are taken as used for breeding or that they are loved as puppies but then booted out or into rescue etc. I can't begin to imagine what the owner is going through.

Still no news.......the puppies were both due to go to families who had all been to meet their pups. Needless to say they were all devastated. Can anyone crosspost this anywhere else?

:( Must be awful for both the breeder and the people who had booked them.
I do hope there found soon so easy to rehome puppies though they could be anywhere.

The poor puppies, I really hope they are found soon.

I do live in the NW, so I'll keep an eye out.

Sadly no news, so not looking too hopeful. Let's just hope they are in good hands.
