I tried it a few times. Great fun, though I am not a "natural" runner.

we have a couple of people at our club who do this and they love it, one girl runs her two red setters and the other is a collie, the girl with the red setters has to watch out though as they are prone to drag her to water.
she has come back many a time very wet and muddy,
all seem to love it though.
not for me though..
hahahaha
y xx

God no...
Are people mad - imagine what would happen if i tried it with Parker n Poppy.
Not only would i probably have a heart attack as i am not exactly fit, i would be pulled into every stream, puddle and river we were passing then after every frisbie, ball, stick that were thrown and probably end up ringing Mark to fetch us home as i was too knackered to go any further.
I love walking my dogs and enjoying the countryside as it passes at a slow leisurely pace.

I bet it is a healthy sporty though....will make you very fit.....:)
Brammie - July 26, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
Well we are only doing very short bursts at the mo (and only one dog at a time) but its really enjoyable. Theres no way i would ever end up doing any real distances but for dogs that cant go offlead due to behavioural issues its a great way to exercise i can tell you that.

OMG what a great idea! Not for me - I don't 'do' running either - but my OH used to run marathons, is moaning about being unfit, and doesn't do anything with the dogs other than the odd short jog or long walk with me. This might be just what I'm looking for to get him involved.
