Whats your view on feeding a dog a vegetarian diet?

I don't think it's a good idea either. Dogs aren't meant to be veggies. If vegetarians don't want to have anything to do with meat products, they shouldn't own a creature that naturally eats meat and expect it to live on a veggie diet. Dogs don't care that an animal died for them to eat it anyway. I don't think it is fair to inflict human standards on other animals with possible bad consequences for their health.
I've known veggies who own cats and dogs and don't have an issue feeding them what they are meant to be fed so I don't see why others should feed them inadequate diets either.

its beyond me why anyone would want to do this, but I know of people who do. very strange wierdoo
