Took Vince along to flyball with Tess today as he's been really unhappy with the fireworks and thought it might cheer him up!!

He's been twice before and was absolutely useless!! Didn't get the point of it at all.

Today he did all 4 jumps, got the ball and came back over the jumps!! Yay - I was so pleased. He hasn't worked out how to use the box yet but considering before he would only go over a few jumps back and forwards between people - this is HUGE progress!!


So proud of my boy......until he was a brat today (see behaviour section)!!

We had a similar Eureka moment with one of our new dogs at training last week who started off not coming over the jump closest to the box, then he would come over and get the ball from the front of the box but not go over the final jump on the way back, then he would go over the last jump but lie down on the start line, and then on Saturday he did several complete runs including getting the ball from the box and doing a lovely whole run with just a couple of wings! The best thing was he absolutely loved it and his owners were delighted with him beersmilie We were all so chuffed, it is great to see the dogs progress and grow in confidence...

Good job it was only for fun - he has hip dysplasia so couldn't do it anyway, but it was a charity thing and we paid £1 to make everyone laugh.
