Thanks, I really enjoyed watching.
It showed me what a lot of hard work and learning I need to do. Hoping to compete with Tizzy next year for fun.
By the way, where did you come ? and is Indy your first competitive dog ?
And how do you manage to walk in a straight line I (I always go wiggly)

Glad you enjoyed it.
Footwork and deportment is so important in competitive obedience, more important than the dog's postition, cuz if your footwork isn't right the dog won't be in the right place to start with.
When your deportment is correct you naturally walk upright and straight (ask any soldier!).
Indy is my 3rd Obedience dog, my first got to B, and Paddy my other dog nearly joined Indy on the bench at Crufts next year as he won reserve Ticket in July.
So I have 2 ticket dogs! *clap*
Here is Paddy competing at Crufts if you're interested-

You will note Paddy is a completely different style to Indy - and is quite OTT!

Tis good! remeber it so well! & Those classic poles!!!! u dopey Trollop & the slowley falling down top!
Did you think you looked slower than normal? you dont usually go that slowly with him, but then i dont rember it being that slow in "real" life.
It was fabby !!!!

Glad you remembered it for all the right reasons Mish!! headwallbash
I think I was concerntrating so hard on my turns I probably didn't 'flow' like I do. Although I think during the last 12 months I've speeded up abit.
BTW, my top next year CANNOT fall down! *nerner*

Hi Claire, Thanks for posting the vid of Paddy.
Can certainly see the difference in your two dogs. Love the way Paddy just circles round and round you.
I also thought that you looked so much more confident in this years vid with Wizzy, I take it you had not been at that level for very long in 2006.

2006 was my first year at Crufts and I was sooooo nervous!
Paddy loved it - he loves to round me up too!!
(Who's Wizzy???)

Hi Claire, one of the reasons I joined Border Collie World was to compliment you on your training ability. You must have spent many, many hours working with your dog. Indy sure has taken to your training and preformed wonderfully. Congratulations to you!
We have a young 7 month old BC that we call Toot. We have started Toot in basic training and feel she picks up on commands very well. She has a long ways to go and I am not so sure we will ever attain what you have done with Indy, but we enjoy Toot daily. Again Congratulations on a job WELL DONE!
