I am thinking of getting a harness for Tizzy. As she will be starting flyball shortly
I would like to get one that would be suitable.
What harnesses do you use / find best for flyball ?

I have tried loads of different harnesses and found these ones to be the best, as they have lots of fleece padding - kinder to the dog, and the top webbing acts as a grab handle. Plus you ncan have them in your favourite colour! .:

I like the look of the fleece harness and they have a good selection of colours.
I like the idea of fleece for padding / comfy fit, and the part down the back looks good as a grab handle (get fed up of trying to clip a lead to her collar that hides under her fur :D )
But will they not make a long coated BC get very hot when wearing /running in the summer ??

Wot summer would that be then? :D
Both of mine wear these harnesses with no problem, although one of mine always gets too hot no matter what the weather, and so use wet towels to cool her down. I put them in the freezer the night before, so that on the race day they are thawed enough to use, but cold enough to cool her down (but not so cold as to give her shock). I am thinking of investing in a K9 Cool Coat this year for her.

Thanks for all the info. Good idea with the towels, gawd knows what OH will think, if he comes home looking for some dinner and finds towels in the freezer yikes
He recons I am mad for the things I put in the freezer as treats for the dogs already. :D
Think I am off to order a purple one ...............

This is what I was talking about. See here on eBay -

I ordered a fleece harness for Tizzy, its arrived and Im well chuffed.
I can now easily hold or grab hold of her via the back part of the harness and clip on her lead, without all the fumbling of trying to find a little 1/2ins wide collar from under her fur. And she looks well cute. Will have to try and get a piccie.
From all the good advice will definatley keep an eye on the K9 cool coats. Not sure if she will need one yet.
Thanks
