I'm not too worried, as I've said to someone else, I was more worried when I was leading Ticket going into scent!

The only thing bothering me is that Indy tore his groin muscle on boxing day and has been very, very sore since. I've not been able to do much with him. He couldn't even jump in the van, or up at me, without cringing in pain. He's been to the chiro, vets, and Steve Barnes has been giving him weekly massages, and 'touch wood' he's seems to be improving. He's still not 100% so I've been keeping his training little and often. Don't know what's going to happen at Crufts when we have to do 8 minutes heelwork straight off! nailbiting

Oh well, what will be will be!! waggingd
At least he'll be able to wear his new blingy collar :D

Claire, tell me to bog off if it is teaching granny to suck eggs as it were, but is it worth finding someone that can (if you don't know already) show you how to do some massage with him before he competes? I massage my two every time before they run at agility. I know the "impact" isn't as high but the stresses on some of the muscles might be. It makes big difference to my dogs at agility.

Good luck. Relax and Enjoy!!!

well mine are are ok. Im not nervous, but strangley today it feels quite close & ive got a small knot of excitement building.

im training 4 times a week, & both boys are going well

flynn World Cup:

Hes coming out rembering ALL the new exercises, im so chuffed

Ret over hurdle, totally strong, IF i dont throw it stupidly & if he waits!!!! the worse thing is if we have to stand too close to the jump, he will try to LAND into present!!!

Directed Ret. My god hes cracked this, previously hes been really difficult as hes really Eyey/focased & u arent aloowed to touch them, so it was almost impossible to get him off a wrong dumbell to the correct one! But this year he completly understands, a miracle. If he gets this wrong i will be totally gutted as im so pleased with this!

Recall Stop & DC

This is so hard to teach, this year we have been told we are going to stop them in the stand, this is all very well but it does mean the dogs sort of stop as soon as you call them, so its really riski! however IF i dont over do it on the day (im running third) i think he should do it!!!!! Im pleased with the exercise (considering flynns problems with DC & waiting & his general Runaway trainess & his slow reactions stopping on other exercises eg SA & ASSD) Im hoping we can scrape in on this!!!!it will depend how worried he is on the day!

SA.

We suspect we are having a runthru to nuthin or a mat so ive been mat training like hell. He Hates run thrus, but the instructions say anyway past the front markers . the mat training is going ok!(no barking!!)

HW

We have the round, tbh its lovely, no turns just circles & weaves. Anyones that knows flynn knows these arent his strong point, so for the last 5 months ive just been schooling on them trying to get him balanced, & tbh im very very pleased. he will still be abit too 4ward for Brian id think, but hes so powerful & such a monkey i hope he will like him abit!

Scent & stays.....What!!!! nailbiting

Our relationship is back on track & hes really sound!

Mavvers

Its a difficult time for Mav ,as he needs to be moved on into his C work abit, but i dont want to get too into his pos on move as i think he could stop on his B HW, however hes finding B training Uber boring & getting gobby so im having to make the rounds quite hard....but not too hard cos he needs 100% confidence! dear god! complex poopy!

Im really pleased hes going well, i have got a bark at start of SA if i over handle him, so trying looks of hands off.

Hes going to be completly Fab or completly shit, thats what hes like!!!!! im 90% sure hes going to be great though, i love him so much!!!!  cant wait to have him there!

Yes Mand,

Steve has been showing me what to do daily, and so did the chiro, he loves his massages. I'm not as good as Steve, as Indy completely 'melts' when he does it. I'm abit frightened of making things worse I suppose, so I won't go 'as deep'.
