Title: Rooky Racers
Description: are up and running

ttc546 - March 9, 2009 07:15 AM (GMT)
I decided to setup a new Flyball Team in our area as the one I was racing with does not suit some of our needs. Therefore the Rooky Racers, based out of Wokingham, are up and running. We have a website - Rooky Racers - up and running and a linked Forum under construction

A Flyball box from Pete Cave is on order
Jumps to be delivered this week

A local kennels has kindly let us use their ground for training

Currently we have one Divisions Team and one Starters.
Our Divisions Team has 3 very fast Collies and some mixed breeds.

We are looking for more to join us! So if you live around the Wokingham area and wish to join, just PM me!

Well, we set a time at Stockbridge of 23.21 for our first comp. Using our declared time of 21.70 for our next comp at Wimbledon, we "broke-out" at 20.77 seconds!! We were happy to break out as we would still have come 6th in that division otherwise (we were seeded 6th in that division anyway). Now we have a great seed time!

Not bad for a bunch of Rookies!

Here is a video of one of our heats. My dog Milly, is running 4th - see how she flys !! - my wife is running our other dog Tosca, in 3rd.

Wicked video, sounds like your doing really well!!

Hopefully with Milly & Tosca being Mist's half sisters she'll be a fabby flyball dog too!
