Hi all,
I have a new friend and his name is Cody, he is a 22 week old BC.
This is my 1st BC and i want to give him the best start i can.
I feed him Beta puppy just now 3 times a day. He also gets some mashed up veg.
Is this the best diet for him or should i introduce another feed.
I would also like to know when he should come off puppy food.
Thanks
Zack & Cody.
When it comes to feeding your puppy it is a mine field out there with all the foods avaliable. It also depends on your budget as to what you can afford.
You will get lots of advice but at the end of the day Cody is your puppy and you should do what you feel is right. The best person to ask is your vet or a canine nutritionist who is independantly qualified not by any food company. I think you will find that people will say to stay away from foods that have additives. colourants etc as these are not really needed in your dogs diet.
If you are able try looking at companies such as Burns, James Wellbeloved, Arden Grange.
Depending on the food will depend on when you start to change onto a junior food round about 6 months and then onto a senior.
CSJ is also a good food for bc's - check out their website
http://www.csjk9.com/ and they are really helpfull if you need to call them.
Thanks for the advice.
Will have a look at these products and have a word with my vet.
