shes been quite itchy for a while now, it started on her back end but is now on her back and her neck, its not severe just like flakey skin. she also seems to be malting more? any advice is much appreciated

Sometimes a heavy moult can cause dry flakey skin. If it's a bitch across her season, they blow their coats quite a lot. It's even more severe after whelping to the point where they almost look bald.
Once moulting finishes and new hair starts growing back, the skin seems to clear itself up again.
Some cod liver oil in their food helps.
