Title: Entry for Champ classes

Carol - May 13, 2009 03:11 PM (GMT)
The Agility powers-that-be are considering extra qualifications for entry into champ classes, and one suggestion is to do a ballot or points system similar to that in obedience.

Could someone enlighten me? - what do you have to do to qualify for Champ in obedience?

Thanks.

hi to enter a championship class at an obedience show you need to have won thru the classes and in C (the class before the ticket class) you need to have obtained a win and 3 qualifiers which are first to third under three separate judges

hope this helps

further to what jane has said, only 60 dogs may work in a champ Class, throughtout the year we gain merit points for our places in C & ticket, these points last one year. The top 60 dogs will get in the rest will be listed in order of "merit", If 59 dogs book in & 1 is absent the Top reserve dog can work, If 5 dogs are absent & there are 5 reserve dogs they will all work.

If for example there are 59 dogs on say 6points & above & there are 5 dogs on 5 points, then the last guareenteed place in ticket is drawn, the other 4 dogs are then drawn in order!!!!

Sorry if that sounds complicated
