Hi
I'm looking for a sheep working collie
I would like to get a 6-8 year old but still let me know if you find a younger one
It wouldn't have to work too much
Its for a family member who would like a companion on the farm
If anyone knows of anything please let me know and I will be very grateful
Thanks :)

Maybe email many tears rescue? I know they often have ex farm dogs in there for various reasons, not sure if they will rehome to a sheep working home all though i can't see a problem with it if they are ging to mainly be a companion.

Thanks for telling me about many tears rescue though, it was a big help!! Hopfully we will find a dog soon!!

Don't rule them out if the dog is perfect they have excellent network throughout the country for home checking and transport just drop them an email and see what they say

From the title of your post it sounds like you are looking for a trained working dog. Do you get many trained stockdogs in rescue over there? From what I hear rescue gets them occasionally here in the States, but it's the exception rather than the norm.
Rescue is great and I am all for supporting it, but respectfully, if you are looking for a trained dog, you may not find one through rescue (unless things are much different there).

A lot of them over here are ex farm dogs that haven't worked out so they just end up in rescue centres because some farmers don't want them if they can't work.
I think its very cruel to these dogs because they should be loved as a pet too!!

I found a fully trained working sheepdog through rescue so I hope it works out so he can be loved again!

Three hours from post to pup, that was certainly fast! Best of luck to your family member with the dog. I hope he "works" out! (yes, I'm trying to be funny, lol) :)
