Mine always do it, usually just tell them to pack it in lol.
Not sure why they do it maybe it tastes nice, never made ours sick unless they've eaten loads.

Most of our dogs throughout my life have been grazers and they've been fed various different diets so I can't see it being that. I remember times when I was a kid out with 4-5 dogs we used to have and sometimes we'd stop a few minutes and all the dogs would be grazing like a little herd of mini horses and they used to have alsorts in their meals. They'd get fresh meat from the butchers, dog meat from in cans along with mixer biscuits and left over veggies from dinner and alsorts. They like the long couch grass...not bothered about the other type that grows on lawns.
Sleet and Wren also like to Graze...I don't stop them unless there might be something harmful on the grass like weedkiller. It doesn't hurt them and they don't necessarily do it because they have an upset stomach. Some dogs might do it to get more fibre but many dogs just like grass and thats it.

all of mine do it. my shih tzu used to do it when she felt ill but my current 3 are crossed with cows the amount they enjoy.
the strangest one was amazing!! i had a foster boy, colliexgolden retriever. i knew he had a belly full of worms and so wormed him - NOTHING CAME OUT. 2 days later he starts feasting on grass, he ate nothing else that day but grass. evening comes and he squats to produce the largest amount of worms i have ever seen all entwined in the grass.
the next day he ate a normal diet and didnt touch grass again, whats more there were no signs of worms either!
goldie has been the first and only dog through my home to do this.

Thanks all

Poppy loves grass and so does Parker as said before i think as long as the grass is untreated it isn't a problem.
