poor boy. perhaps he just over did it in the heat?
i put the canix kit on Tink this afternoon but only did 20 mins with her thinking i had guaged it right and she is still under a fan on full blast.

leanneh - August 5, 2009 06:36 PM (GMT)
it was very humid today - that probably didn't help.

I wouldn't slow him down that will possibly make it a lot worse, i'd look at hydro maybe weekly to build muscle up around the area, could he not still have the operation to put it right?

I agree that slowing him down at his age will really make him grow old before his time.

Like the others said, it has been really muggy today everywhere and it makes us feel a bit naff nevermind them covered in thick weatherproof hair even if it's shorter like Bens, they're still double coated.

Is this the 1st time it has happened? If it is I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on him. I think it would be really difficult to slow a 4 year old BC down, I have enough trouble with Boomer at 14 years old!

Yeah its the 1st time its happened, maybe your right, it was prob to hot, he swims in the river all the time and i dont wanna slow him down, he loves to run!
ive got him rested for 24hrs to let it sort it self out coz normaly after a lil rest he is ready to go again.
i cud have the op the vets have said it may not work as its so fixed into the way it is and if he aint in pain no point as he isnt in pain.

Hope Bens ok now Lou.

Check with your insurance - we are covered for Hydro and to be honest it was the best thing we could have done for Parker - also he loves it.

Hydro is covered by most insurance policys, its much better than swimming in the river as the water is warm :)
