well you know me its bones all the way. Star my 8 year old dally has the teeth of a young dog. something never achieved before bones even though i cleaned her teeth and gave her chews.

i get my lamb ribs from landywoods for £3:50 it is a nice sized bag though with 15 in a bag.

as you only want the odd bone and not loads of them then the butcher in sudbury at the top of N.ST sells dog bones at £1 a bag. i know you come from miiiiiles away but if you can find a butcher local to you to get them from perhaps swinging into town on the way home may be the best option?

you can choose between lots of ribs or lots of something i'm yet to identify?? or 2 big bones.

Mine have marrow bones, my dad gets from the local butchers when they have them, they give him them for free as he spends lots of money there.

i get Scooby a bag of bones from my local butchers there are about 8 in a bag but he gets them very rarely so i freeze the bones and then defrost them the day before i want to give him them but like i said they are a rare treat for him like once a month because he gets possessive of them and i with the kids around its difficult.

Thanks all - Butchers up town sell bones for dogs, i think i will get some of them for her, silly question, do you boil them or roast them or just as they are??

Defo dont boil or roast. I freeze ours for a day or two, just in case they have picked up any bacteria, then let them defrost for a day, then the dogs have em, even the 10yr olds teeth are lovely and white!
