There is a compartment for a chip built-in, however, it would be up to you to "Magyver" your chip out of your OEM key and place it in here.
For those of you who have Chipped keys and want to get this type of key, your going to have to cut open your key and basically take out the chip and put it in the slot that is shown in the second picture. For more information post on NYCMaximas.org, or PM me
