Title: Brake Hookup?
Description: anyone?

GET Ukrainian - May 19, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
Well my brakes are bad, anyone has a hook up for brake packages or installation.

I found a package for front and rear slotted and drilled rotors along with cermamic pads for about 300 dollars, now I just need to know where I can install them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just get blanks don't get slotted or drilled and all that other BS.

The shit doesn't work. And your just wasting your money.

Bill can install them for you.

It is all a matter of preference. I agree with Sunny and don't think they do shit. The only time they will help is if you do autocross where they will cool down faster but they will warp over time because they aren't as strong as a regular rotor. Chem lesson 1 is that we all know that if you heat metal and quickly cool it so many times it becomes more pliable which causes them to warp faster. I believe they also tend to wear the pads down faster than a regular one would. The only people that buy these are people who autocross and people who really just want the looks and those who don't mind spending money on new pads earlier then expected.

I would just get on the group deal on the big org. You can get OE Brembo Rotors for $152.

GD for Rotors

Then pick up Hawk HPS brakes. I don't know if anyone on the org sells them but I know Tire Rack does. They are like $64 for fronts and like $65 for the rears. So this will put you at $281 until shipping which will probably put you right around $300 and IMO it will be just as good of a set up.
