Title: Rear Beam Bending

Black Maxima - February 3, 2008 12:07 AM (GMT)
Anyone know someone that can add some negative camber to my rear beam suspension?

Isn't there a shim kit out there for this? I could be wrong. Other than that. YOu might want to ask a body shop.

I wasn't aware of a shim kit. I thought you could only use those with an IRS? I don't really know anything about solid rear beams so I will be taking it to a shop, you don't know of any?

Well. I would ask a good body shop. I say this because the frame machines they have can measure points up too .02 of a mm. So that is really good. I know of a few places around me. You will have to ask them if they are willing to do it for you. Its not exactly collision repair, so idk. I know that there is no way to adjust the rear beam by adjust mounts. I thought they had a shim kit, but I could be wrong.
Being it is a straight beam, I am surprised that camber if off enough to notice by eye. Is it bad?

No, I want to be able to tuck my rear wheels. I have been looking into this on another website and I'm just seeing if this is possible or if it will actually turn out the way I want.

looks like you are tucking right now. How much lower do you really want to go.

This is a project I would like to do later down the road, I'm just getting ideas for now. I would also have to get a deep lipped wheel. Here is a picture:

The thing is there will be limited suspension travel and I will risk trashing the wheel on the fender since it's a solid beam.

picture not working.

It was working this morning. I think the picture's server is down.

Well that is some serious camber. Idk if you can get it to go negative that low and them return to neutral when you drive it normal. I am assuming that you plan on bagging the car.

i think if you want that much VIP status, ctlowmax, you'll definitely need a nice set of airbags.

I still have some room to go with my coilovers.
