Most of yall know me on here, and most of you know my max is an auto.Usually the 1st question I get about my car after someone see's it for the 1st time is "Is it stick?" and when i tell them they are like "why you ain't get a stick?" :angry: so after some research I realize a 6spd conversion might be my answer but...after doing more research I'm finding out the fastest maximas on the big org are autos so...whats the advantage of a 6spd over a modded auto tranny??? a part of me says 6spd swap then the other part is saying tiptronic conversion/modded tranny with shift cpu/ valvebody upgrade. I ran my boys (on private road of course) 6spd max and I was very surprised to have been beating him until like 110/ 120 m.p.h and then his top end kept pulling and he eventually walked me, I ran my other boys 330 ci b.m.w (6spd) and roasted him by like a car and a half :D ran a stock g35 (auto) and cooked him and finally a 3.2 cl type-s and continually spanked the Ac of the line :P so, please let me know what upgrade i should go with because im really torn between the two, thanx_Sci

the VB mod, suprastick and tranny cooler would be easier to install, but are useful when running at the track and not for normal driving...

Something tells me your boys don't know how to drive. I would take you all the way up to 7th if I had one.

I would def. be putting a trans cooler on that thing. I sounds like your bringing the revs all the way up.

lol...they prolly don't ,my dudes be gettin money in the hood buy fly cars but they dont know what hell 2 do with them!!! they know i'm into all this car shit so any time i wanna run the max against somethin faster just to see what the max a do they are a phone call away...sounds like you wanna roast me wit the G, im glad you dont got 7th gear sheeeshh :unsure: but i'll be ready for you in the spring and maybe i can dance wit the G a lil :D ,never know the mighty G might take a loss due to driver error or mis-shift or sumthin lol fuck it lets roll the dice!!!



p.s the new fx's do have 7th gear tho... :lol:

wait do you have a 4 speed auto? cause if you do you have given me new hope haha...im running a 2000 gle with a 4 speed autmagic (apparently nissan thought it would be funny to NOT OFFER A MANUAL ON THE GLE)...I smoked my friends 2003 5-speed passat by two lengths with almost no real work done on my car...i thought it might be a fluke but if you have a 4 speed auto too maybe theres hope

2000-2003 all came with 4AT. your GLE doesn't have a manual because the GLE is supposed to be the "luxury" package on the maxima. was the passat 1.8t? either way there slow without a turbo upgrage (K04+).

yea i know it was supposed to be the "luxury" version and being the second buyer and getting the car as a "gift" kinda made me have to have the auto...im not really complaining though, my car is alot nicer than most peoples who are much older than me....and yea my friends passat is a 1.8T....its slow as fu**, kid in my school tooled him in a 200000 pound 2001 monte carlo ss too haha so ima chalk it up to him not having upgraded the turbo

yah my car is auto too, so i understand you there. the monte carlo SS is a beast and is a trq monster...compared to the passat at least.

haha yea he has a custom CAI a kid in my school built him and dual super 40's flowmasters....he puts out like 215 bhp and 225 ft-lbs

yes I have the 4 spd auto but I have been researching this conversion for a few months and I'm going too upgrade my tranny internals before I get it but I'm def getting this done upshifts/downshifts at will, 2 driving maps 1 for race one for street,u set the shift points where u want in auto mode,protection from early down shifts + way more this shift cpu is sick and matta fact there's a 700hp twin turbo SC300 in the new MODIFIED mag and they are running the Suprastick v4 w/paddle shifters,modified VB and torque converter+ other tranny upgrades but I think Im convinced this is the way I'm going!!! :lol:

how much is that gonna run? Lol cause it sounds like a good idea to me too haha
