Title: Ssim Mod/nwp Block Plates
Description: what does this do exactly/gains

Keep hearing about this but not exactly 100% sure on what it does or the benefits/gains. Heard that a lil bottom end torque is lost but noticeable increase in the mid to high end power band. Do you need the nwp intake spacers before this? how hard is it do and who does this here? I think Bill has this done but who else ??? Any reviews/feedback is helpful,thanks_Sci

I didn't feel a loss in the trq, but autos seem to be more affected by it. Not much of a loss from what most say though. I think it is a worthwhile mod if you have the time. I did the ssim, VIAS plate and port and polished my UIM.

There is a shelf inside the UIM. The VIAS has a door that opens when your car hits a certain RPM to let air flow into both parts of the UIM. By removing the VIAS and doing the SSIM (cutting out the shelf) it allows more air to flow and flow smoother.
