i can build this 3.0 in my max, but why not build a 3.5 in my max when i can convert it for the same price as a set of cams, jwt ecu and full exhaust! if anyone knows or has a friend selling there 3.5 motor and 6 speed manual only tranny let me know, must have under a 100K or be in REALLY good condition and have been treated with care! thanks everyone

So much easier, with less problems and no hassles, to buy an 2002 Maxima for like 8K.

Suicidalspd99 - January 11, 2009 06:49 PM (GMT)
U serious on a 3.5? I might be able to pick one up for u.

SHIFTVQ35 - January 11, 2009 07:15 PM (GMT)
Trust me friend it is not cheap to build a 3.5 for the $$$ you will spend your better off buying a 02 maxima, now if your gonna drop a stock 3.5 in and keep your 5spd or auto box in then your winning.

If you need any info holla @ me i will help you out and if you need any mechanical help holla @ me and i will link you up with the guys that do all the swaps here in ny.

go onto maxima.org and visit the all motor section, and search for other information about the swap...that way you know what to expect and look for.

will do, im actually thinking about selling my 2002 honda civic and maybe save a few thousand and buy a 2003 max 3.5 6 speed... i guess that would be the more lucrative way of doing the 3.5 motor up... and keep the 4th gen some what stock just do little bit here and there..

hybridioN - January 12, 2009 03:34 AM (GMT)
unless you have time, dedication and know-how, buying a 5.5 gen would be a better option. especially since they are dropping in price.

Black Maxima - January 12, 2009 04:38 AM (GMT)
If you have two cars to sell, getting your hands on a 2002 should be pretty easy. And you will not run into problems after that way of swapping motors. :)
