Title: Uh Oh

alloutnissan - January 31, 2009 09:06 PM (GMT)
A day ago my oil light went on. I knew I had a slight oil leak from the oil pan so i checked the oil and granted it was low. So i filled it up drove on it and the light was still on. The next day however, it turned off. But today (1/31) its back on, and I know it can't be low oil. Could it be a bad oil pump?

bad oil pressure sensor.

Thank you for the clear up. Is this a bad thing? Meaning, can I drive the car with a bad sensor? or should I get it fixed asap before driving?

i think youd be fine driving it like that, but id still replace it asap because you wont know when you REALLY are low.. i mean if your just watting to get some cash to get one then check your oil daily until you get money to get the part or if your trying to make sure you wont blow it up with out replacing it and driving it to the store then no your good to drive it.

is your oil pan cracked? or is the gasket bad? id fix that asap as well.. dont want to be leaking oil!
