Title: Lowering Springs (too Low For A Fat Ho)
bryan163 - April 20, 2009 10:41 PM (GMT)
I just converted a lowered 5th gen back to stock ride height for my neighbor. now I'm selling the drop springs that were on his car when he bought it. they are about a 4 inch drop. I can do the install on these for you if needed. I will need your stock springs in exchange because the lowering springs are currently being used on my parts car so i can move it around.
$60 for the springs
or $100 dollars installed
Max_Man116 - April 23, 2009 12:11 AM (GMT)
ill give u 60 for them ...let me know asap
Max_Man116 - April 24, 2009 10:31 PM (GMT)
wat brand are they and are u positive its a 4inch drop ?
bryan163 - April 24, 2009 11:23 PM (GMT)
I don't know the brand, but i might be able to find out tomorrow. I dont now the exact drop. I just know the wheels were tucked. If you buy them and decide you dont like them you can return them. I'll try to look up the numbers on the springs later. I'm gonna be heading to the turnpike tonight.
Max_Man116 - April 25, 2009 11:58 AM (GMT)
ok thats cool could u bring them tonight ? also are you down to meet in Cromwell in the kmart plaza at 9 ?
KJS2023 - April 25, 2009 03:39 PM (GMT)

bryan163 - April 25, 2009 09:23 PM (GMT)
I dont know if I'll be out tonight. I ran a 100lb jack hammer all day today. I can barely move right now.
P.S. Cromwell still sucks balls :P
KJS2023 - April 25, 2009 09:30 PM (GMT)

I tried googling the serial number, but nothing came up. The springs are red and look fairly new. this number was printed in white on one of them (SPK 24 5.246 F).

Ah, a man who knows his springs. I'll take pics tomorrow.
hybridioN - May 5, 2009 05:48 AM (GMT)
the only springs that i know of that offer the lowest drop are tein s-techs (2.2F - 1.6R). are you sure they aren't ground control coilovers?
Max_Man116 - May 5, 2009 06:44 PM (GMT)
4inch drop would be pretty low
bryan163 - May 6, 2009 01:39 AM (GMT)
The springs are gone. I installed them on Hallie's car today. I was gonna take picks but I forgot. After i installed them it looked more like a 3" drop. I think they might have been Tokicos. we took it for a ride and they felt pretty damn nice. looked good too.

I have a bunch of extra rotors lying around if you want to throw one on when we do your exhaust. They are off 4th gens but they're prob the same. If it fits you can have it
Suicidalspd99 - May 9, 2009 02:06 PM (GMT)
I don't think the rear brakes are the same.
Also Tokico does not make a red colored spring.

I have tokico springs on my car and they are red. Thanks for the heads up on the brakes, but I already looked into it and they are the same part number.

Why do you say that? They are sold on ebay as the same part # for years 95-02.
Max_Man116 - May 10, 2009 07:26 PM (GMT)
ohh i looked on ebay to and it said 99-02 for the drilled rotrs

Suicidalspd99 - May 11, 2009 03:53 PM (GMT)

Its possible that the chart i looked at was wrong. I'll just do a physical comparison when the car is at my house.

Ive got a set of Max speed lowering springs that are brand new. They are a 1.5 drop in the front and a 1.3 in the back. I told Sci I would sell it to his friend and we have not met up yet. The going price is $80 for them I would sell them to you if you were willing to come to Radioshack in cromwell to pick them up from me on a day im working. Of course if you did say yes that you wanted them I would have to talk to Sci first about his friend before I actually sold them.
