to take off the driver side and passenger side air vents? Im re-painting the interior and i cant figure out how to get these off..i dont wanna break them..or should i say any MORE of them..I already snapped one of them trying to take them off :( I already have the whole center done..just stuck on these little suckers.

i never thought of doing this.. but my Audio installer had my entire dash out once.. post up a pic of what you have done so far.. and what your having trouble with & i'll ask him what he used to get everything apart.

Well on the ones that you broke are they clips on them that would hold them in place? If you have already broke some then you should have a pretty good idea as to how they come out. I would think they are clipped in and you just have to pry in the right spots, but it also wouldn't really surprise me if you had to remove larger parts of the dash.

You will have to remove the dashboard first. They bolt in from behind it.

Well the only one I broke was the driveres side air vent. (The one to the left of the steering wheel) After that I gave up, I didnt wanna break it anymore. It looks pretty secure in there.

YIKES. Scratch that whole idea. That'll be a mess haha I dont have the slightest clue of where to start on removing the whole dashboard. Thanks though, you may have prevented me from breaking anything else haha.

I would just tape around the vent, sand it a little and paint it. No need to even take them out. If you tape it good then you will have no problems.
