Title: new amp!@!
Suicidalspd99 - January 8, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Yeah I got my interior amp situation all set. I purchased the Infinity reference series 7541a, 4-channel car audio amplifier.
139w rms x 4 at 2ohms.
This thing is sick. I had Tommy the installer at D.B. Motorsports install it and he even made me a custom amp rack with both my interior 4-channel and my sub amp. Looks sick. I hope to have picks up soon. If not you guys will see my setup at the meet on the 21st.
Now all I need to to upgrade my interior speaker, again. I am thinking about components this time. Does anyone on here have any suggestions?

YUCK!
I would recomened Rainbow, DLS, Dynaudio, Morel, Arc, theres so many other good brands out there, but I would stay away from Alpine, Pioneer, JL and all the other shit you can get at bb and cc lol. Im running Rainbow in my car if you would like a demo at the meet I would be more than happy to give you a listen.

The Type-R's sounded sick when I checked 'em out at Tweeters.

Im sorry but if you think that the type R comps sounded good you havent heard what real speakers sound like...

What is wrong with JL? Never have you been able to buy them at BB or CC.

I was thinking Infinity components. Like the kappa series. I plan on mounting the tweeters where the mirror trim is on the inside of the door. In the rear i will most likely put the tweeters in the door.
Where can I check out rainbow or any of those other brands you suggested. Remember I am gonna be blaring everything form Pantera to Sublime to Ice Cube. So I want something good in all aspects.
Thanks guys.

I don't know of any local places that have the brands Skier mentioned so your best bet would be to get a demo from him.

Skier, I assume you have heard of the company CDTAudio. I think thats another good company. Have you heard them in person?
Skierxx5556 - January 10, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Yes I have heard CDT's before and they arnt bad, def alot better than some of the more mainstream brands, and they can be picked up pretty cheep.
I would NEVER go with 2 sets of comps your soundstage will be all screwed up. If you must run rears I would just go with a cheep pair of coaxial's, but if your front stage is loud enough you would not need to run rears. Im not running them and you cant even tell.
As far as the music you listen to if you get those infinity's I dont think you will be happy the tweeter on them can get very harsh at loud volumes. Zach is right most of the brands that I mentoned are not going to be easy to find a dealer for, but I do know of an arc dealer in West Hartford if you check out Arcaudio.com you can find out where they are located. as for the other brands talk to Don over on the .org his name is pearl96max he sells most of those brands.
I hope this is helpful let me know if you need anymore info or anything...

That is the place with Arc. I've never heard of them and it doesn't say where they are. Let me know if you check them out I may be interested in some.
