Here is some info about the Technosquare ECU:

"Reprogramming the automobile's ECU and customizing the data will enable you to achieve the total performance setup you strive for.
Today, automobiles come equipped with a computer, called the Engine Control Unit (ECU). It is through this computer that we are able to optimize performance, increase fuel economy, and maintain cleaner emissions. As the ECUs gain more and more function control, the window of compensation becomes narrower. What this means to you, the enthusiast, is that by simply adding bolt-on aftermarket components (ie. High flow exhaust system, high flow air cleaner, header, etc.) to your car will not give you the maximum performance increase these products were designed for. If you don't "tell" the car what you have changed, the engine will continue to run within the stock parameters. You will most likely detect some power increase, however, the damage being done to the engine may remain undetected. What is sustained in the long term directly defeats the purpose of installing these high performance products and , ultimately, the result could actually be a loss in horsepower, unreliable engine performance, or permanent damage to the engine itself. Simply 'tweaking" the ECU program to your car's specs will spare you those headaches.

In our ECU upgrade, we feature TECHTOM ROMBOARD and tuning device to give customer "REAL" upgrade. We don't sell so called "sticker tune" ECU like the other company do."

Yes, you do have to send them your ECU. They will overnight it back to you. If you overnight it to them, max time your car would be down is 3 days if not less.
