I need your opinion on this.

I have created a second forum for CTMaximas.

But I am not sure if I want to switch or not.

If we do switch, that means that everyones post counts will be at zero, we have to reset the total members, and you will have to copy your sig over. There may be some little things that I forgot but you get the idea. Basically it will be like you signed up for a new forum.

The whole reason why I am wanting to switch is basically because everyone else is using VBulletin and I think we should join them as well.

I have a personal server that I bought earlier in the year so I might as well put it to good use.

So far I just set up the basis of the forums. I am still working on the little things.

Input is needed.

i like it but we are gonna lose all post. So idk Its like starting over agian. So I like the set up but idk.

Are you sure you can't switch everything over? I thought NYCmaximas did it with LImaximas.

They prolly switched everything over with ease becuase they were using VBulletin to begin with.

Well there are really only a handful of people that post and I'm sure most would sign up again. You are better off doing it now then later too.

well boys. i did some advertising. Lets see how the new ctmaximas does. I posted on a few forums I know about the new site. I hope we can make a transition and do somthing with it. Considering CTnissans was a flop it seems.

Yeah but how many people actually tried to make CT Nissans work? I'm sure if everyone were to try then it would work but it didn't happen.

CTNissans could be good, but personally I think its too much work, unless I just generalize it, like don't go into to much detail with each car, just have a General talk area or something....

I'd just do that then. Have it redirect to the new forums. While I am at work tomorrow I will throw up some stuff on the new forum like how to's and what not.

Hey I like what I have seen on the new site. I think we really need to change over there. I notice a couple people wondering about the sigs not working. Sunny. its up to you but I tryed to get people to go. Now I think it is time we switch it over. Let me know.

What do you think of the set up should I change it? or add anything?

We are working on getting the correct version of VBulliten. The cost is $160 and we are looking to split it a couple ways.

One more thing.

Once we get VB again I will be much quicker. Last time I had problems becuase the domain name wasn't setup correctly. Now my host sees the domain name and knows that it has to host it. Basically this time it WILL work. I know this because that was the reason why we had some downtime early last week. I was switching the servers around.

How can one go about donating?

From this site to the other, no there really isn't a way that I know.

i wish someone could clue me in on whats so bad about this site cuz i don't see it.

There are a few things:
1. Everyone else is using the VB
2. This has annoying ads
3. The site isn't on my server so it's less reliable
4. The URL is shit
5. I wanted to do this for the longest time.
6. There is alot more support with VB (more modifications and such)
