Title: Hu Problems

My head unit is cutting in and out on me...best way to describe it is sorta like cd skipping but its happening with all my imputs (radio, ipod and cds). im thinking its one of my connections but dont really know. any ideas? who wants to help me with some stereo troubleshooting and re running my rca's. im getting some nasty alternator whine as well. also need to deaden my front door panels but dont have anything to do it with...

Ill be around this weekend if you feel like making the trip up... I got some RCA's for ya too. how did you connect your hu power wire solder or just eletrical tape? does the unit shut off or just the music skip? I could be faulty pre outs or a loose connection if its just the music....

yeah derick...my amp is doing the same thing...less rattles tho...pass side windows arent rollin down however...did u connect anything in that panel?

looked at it again today with rob from shelton....may have found out the problem...my bass boost was hanging out under my seat and some how got turned all the way up. this may have caused my sub to clip and my amp responded by shutting off...hopefully thats the problem. drove home up rt8 and no problems...im keeping my fingers crossed.
