Title: My new story!
Nick Durron - April 28, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
After much thought, I have decided to start a new story. I would continue my old one, but the new parts wouldn't even begin to match the old ones... I've gotten much better at everything. Anyway, this new story will take place in the Land of Semninac (as did my old one), although it will have different characters. Hopefully I can post some pics of them soon.
The first chapter will probably be here within the next month or two. Unlike my old story, the chapters in this will be quite long (similar to Ikros), and have a lot more pictures. The main character (our hero) needs a good name, and will start out as a sort of mercenary fellow who is pretty much self-centered and uncarring about anyone else (not as bad as Han Solo). The villain will be involved in a mysterious plot to kill the King and his 10 sons. So... that's the quick take.

Welcome back! Long time no see.
I am going to do something similar of similar reasons actually.
I would recommend non-pure evil villains, so it is possible to justify their actions.
The overall idea seems intriguing. To see the hero try to stop the villains from killing all his sons as they become less and less in number is really cool.
Are you doing bricklink or redbean orders, and are the new coming castle sets/parts be an important part of the story?

I definitely agree with you on making the villain more human. He's not going to be a faceless monster like in my old story; he will actually have a motive! That is something I think too many villains lack.
I'm going to be making a Bricklink order soon, and I'm planning on buying the new LEGO Castle series when it comes out. Hopefully I'll be able to find a place in the story for those awesome new skeletons. I also need to buy a good head for the hero, since nothing I have seems to fit his character quite right.

Whoa! Long time...
Sounds sweet! I've enjoyed watching your brickfilms, they're very entertaining. :D
Can't wait to see your new story come to life!

Wow - great to see your return! And with good news no less... not sure how I missed your post... my computer seems to be in poor working condition these days though, so I've decided to put the blame there.
Very cool to see that Semninac is coming back to life, and new and improved, no less... :)

Welcome back Nick! Your old story was a good read, so I'm guessing the new one is going to be awesome. ;)
