Not a new story, but I don't think I ever mentioned it here at CW! :huh: I am getting old here... no doubt about it now.

Anyway, CC member Quickblade22 made this story and got 4 chapters in, but it doesn't have LEGO fig pics and it seems as though it is incomplete (Last update 5-26-07).

Still, if you want to take a look (and maybe get some ideas for your own story... my favorite pastime :P ) it may have some things you enjoy~

This is pretty much stagnant right now but I know they are working on it; Quickblade with the writing and LORD DOOM with the illustrations... that means there will be no actual LEGO, but the illustrations will be in LEGO style (just like my Avatar)

Should be interesting whenever it develops more...

Ahh... so this is the comic that LORD DOOM is illustrating... I thought it might be, but I wasn't sure. Too bad it's stalled - I'd love to see some illustrations of his in action.

I actually tried to "become selected" to have LD illustrate of story of mine due to my total and utter lack of LEGO, but alas... I lost out. :orcTongue:

Don't think it'll be a comic. Rather an illustrated story with both lots of text and pictures...

I think it is time we ask LORD DOOM to join Castle World.

That would be cool - I've been PMing Quickblade on and off from time to time (I'm not good at responding to CC PMs for some reason) and he caught me up to date a bit.

I think they are working on it again, or planning to, but they did indeed stop for awhile sometime back. It was interesting timing - right after your last post, Quickblade PM'd me to say that one of the big hold-ups was that they decided to change it from a story to a comic format. :lol:

Not sure when they will publish - he said they had 4 chapters, but might have to reformat due to the possible change from story to comic.

Greetings Castle World. I am Quickblade. Some of you may know me from Classic Castle. Quill Master and Maedhros have invited me here to share my story with you all. Together with LORD DOOM, we are currently in the process of making this story into a comic book like format. It's still in the early stages, so it will probably be a while before anything new comes about. The project started in March when LORD DOOM joined CC and asked for someone willing to let him illustrate a Lego comic of their work. I, who had been a lurking member for nearly 3 years, decided to take him up on it. I submitted to him the first chapter of Roaring Sun. After a second chapter and an outline of what was to be an epic story, we began to chat online about what we were going to do. Real life interferred and the project was shelved. In May I decided to start releasing segments of the story 1 week at a time without pictures, in hopes that LORD DOOM would jump onboard again and we could continue where we left off. The reality of it was, that I was afraid that someone else would start a story similar to mine, using star constellations and names like I had. I soon lost interest when the best part of the story, (the pictures) were absent. I've had the ideas of the story floating around in my head for about two years. It's starting point was to be about 24 years after the first chapter takes place. The story is by no means innovative or original, but I do care alot about it. I hope that we can put together an entertaining story for the Lego Castle community. Thanks to all who have taken the time to read the pictureless chapters on my website. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Very cool to see you are here! I was surprised but pleased to see our latest "town fool" as none other than the Quickblade22.

No worries about being innovative or creative for your first story (and besides, maybe it will be, you just don't know it yet ;) ), in some ways just using LEGO is pretty innovative and interesting. And anyway, I think it's quite difficult to make your first story as a record-breaking, knockout punch.

That said, I do like the idea you guys have, it's really quite unique and cool - looking forward to see how it progresses~
