Title: TV GUIDE'S HIGHEST PAID ACTORS - August 10-23

Well, the article is out and Kiefer Sutherland is the highest paid drama actor ($550,000/episode) and Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) for comedy ($875,000/episode). Christopher Meloni, Mariska Hargitay and Huge Laurie come in at $400,000/episode. When it comes to making a lot of money per episode, it seems the comedy category has everyone beat. There were at least eight recipients, four were the Desperate Housewives actresses.

CM and MH are mentioned in the article about their coming down to the wire with their salaries (which stayed the same from last year's). I don't understand why all the disgruntled feeling about these two getting their pay. No one seems to mind Sutherland, Sheen or the Desperate Housewives making their money. Also, CM and MH are two of the most giving actors in the business and they give back more than they really get and they set a good example of how to live. I wish I could say that about Sutherland and Sheen who are constantly in the limelight of trouble.

One of the readers wrote in the INBOX how CM was milking it. He doesn't believe he works hard enough for the money since he was taking cooking lessons in Italy. I had to laugh.

What does something CM did on vacation, in Italy, have to do with his work time ? This is one of the guys who should pay a special tax for being so totally stupid.

I' m not surprised at Sutherland's paycheck ( he's also a producer of the show ),
but Charlie Sheen, making more than all the others for those 30 minute idiotic eps. ?
His show isn' t a world hit like '24' ( I' ve stopped watching '24' years ago but I
know it's popular ).
