After years of being plagued by hobgoblins and being outclassed by Sammii the Emperess put a sum of money away to build watchtowers. Her initial estimate was wrong so the tower were shabbily built. A palisade (like Sammii) goes almost all the way round there border stopped hobgoblins effectively. The towers are of no great standard though, the are made almost completely of wood and look rather rickety. This makes it a worse defence point, less intimidating for attackers and also less confortable and splederous for the guards on duty there.
