Title: A Parting
T'eal Jager - September 17, 2005 10:50 AM (GMT)
Snow kicked up around the ship as it lowered. The landing legs extened and planted on the ground heavily. The engines died down and all was still and quiet. The door opened.
'Well, there you go Gy. All the snow and ice you could ever want,' She said as she looked around. There was little to see. Snow as far as she could see in every direction. She'd heard there were native settlements out here, perhaps he knew where they were, because she sure as hell didn't. There wasn't a sound save the wind. 'Well...Don't get eaten by wolves or anything,' she said with no hint of sencerity. 'I'm off to find my fortune in Felenx.'

Gymex grunted and tightened the backpack to his back.
"Hope you will find fortune, Jager," Gy said absently.
He started walking.
"Not that many wolves left here, by the way," he stopped and turned around with a serious, emotionless face, "it's getting colder."
He kneeled after having turned away from Jager. His left hand pierced the snow surface and reached the ice. He shook his head, stood up and folded his arms.
Where are they?

T'eal watched him for a while from the doorway. She took out the gun at her left and spun it idly in her hand. She thought about shooting him. If the G10 caught up with him, he could cause some trouble for her. She stopped spinning the gun and aimed it at the back of his head for a moment. Her finger resting on the trigger. he sighed and re-holstered the gun. I must be getting soft she thought.
'See you around Gy,' She called as she stepped back into the ship and closed the doors.
It wasn't long before the engines fired up and the ship was hovering. Seconds later it was out of sight. Leaving only traces in the snow, and Gymex behind.

Gymex Athri - September 17, 2005 11:27 AM (GMT)
"Mercs," Gymex spat out.
"You won't see me around, Jager."
A gust of wind tried to knock him over but failed. He had loaded a backpack he was given with whatever he found in the ship. He didn't ask.
He opened the bag and took a small communication set with him. He stuck the radar in the snow and tempered with some buttons and hit a screen. He zoomed in. He hummed and zoomed out a little.
"There."
He tapped the screen on which Jager's ship could be seen. Nothing else, though.
He thought back about when he was thinking about Jager's offer on her ship. He had been talking to the guy guarding him and convinced him to let him go to the bathroom alone. He remembered thinking how stupid that guy was.
He didn't go to the bathroom, he found a room with a computer and no further intelligence present. He sent out a cryptic message to the universe which said, if figured out, this:
"This universe is shit. You want to do something about that; come to the ice caps on Tindor; No Mercs!"
A sweep appeared on a small digital screen. Somebody was trying to get a message through to him.
Gymex Athri - September 17, 2005 04:52 PM (GMT)
Gymex was running across the snow planes which was an immensely stupid thing to do. Nonetheless he was going at it full speed. Untill happened what happens when you do things you shouldn't do. Gymex Athri broke through the ice. Surprisingly: he smiled.
Goddamn g10 pick up the message and come over here! What're the odds...
Right after finishing this thought, he hit the ice hard. He slipped down further into a chasm. He looked up at a thin layer of ice through which he had fallen. The light that pierced through that layer was blocked by something huge, and then it was gone.
G10...
His trail of thoughts was rudely interrupted by ice again. Gy lay still. It was warm here. His hands stirred a powdery essence but it wasn't snow. It was...
Earth.
And as his eyes adjusted to the dark he could make out several green blurs.
Plants?
The blurs came closer and narrowed his view. It was all going so fast, his brain couldn't keep up and decided to just shut down for a while.
