Well I am back from Camden NJ and I feel obligated to share with you some of my insight on the bands I went to see:

Strapping Young Lad:
Well, it is obvious that Devin just dosnt give a fuck..and it was great. I loved the band and the performance. I am a bit biased as they are one of my favorite bands. I was excited to actually have the opportunity to meet the band after their performance and get their autographs..a definate plus in my book. Would i buy their albums? In a heartbeat!!

Between the Burried and Me:
Well I was too busy meeting SYL to give a fuck about them. I could hear them in the background and it sounded ok.

Walls of Jericho:
KICK ASS BAND.. This chick lead singer was on fire! She can sing, she can growl, she's not too bad on the eyeballs either. I think this band is going to get big!! One of my favorite bands I have ever seen live. I believe they have a new album coming out at the end of August. Would I buy their albums? YES all of them!!

Full Blown Chaos:
Meh...I went to get a beer..wasnt impressed

Bad Acid Trip:
Are you serious? This band is pure trash...nothing remotely interesting about them.

A Life Once Lost:
Went to get another beer..again, wasnt impressed

All That Remains:
Went to get another beer...getting boring now!!

The Red Chord:
This band didnt sound bad....but meh...nothing new

Norma Jean:
Pure trash!!! Nothing remotely original about them, they even looked gay...

Bleeding Through:
FUCK YES!!! Finally a breath of fresh air! This band is ferocious!! I went right up from of the stage for this band, had my beer smashed on my chest as I wondered into a mosh pit. I loved this band, their sound was raw, hardcore and aggressive!! Would I buy their albums? HELL YES..all of them!!

Unearth:
Went for another beer...didnt compare to Bleeding Through

Atreyu:
Meh, Ive seen them before, nothing impressive here. A good band, but its been done before gentlemen.

Black Label Society:
Zakk put on an clinic on how to play the fucking guitar!! Amen to kick ass alcohol fueled music... Classic guitar hammering shit!!! Go buy all their damn albums now!!

DragonForce:
WTF was that crap? Sorry guys, you wont sell a lot of records in America!! God Damn Iron Maiden wannabe's. Pure Suckage..even the crowd wasnt into them

Lacuna Coil:
A class act! Cristina Scabbia put on a great performance. They did a Depeche Mode cover that truly kicked ass. But hey, ive seen them before so I knew ahead of time they were good. Would I buy their albums? Hell yes

Hatebreed:
FUCKING A!!!! Well there is nothing better than a truly hardcore band spewing hatred into the crowd!!! Jamie Jasta and the Hatebreed boys kicked some serious ass on stage!!! I understand that they also have a new album coming out this month and I will be getting that one as well. BUY ALL THEIR DAMN ALBUMS!!!

Avenged Sevenfold:
Well I was curious to see if this band lived up to all its hype. Well, they are very very weak!! They did do a cover of Pantera's Walk as a salute to the late great Dimebag.. and the cover was kickass. Their guitar player should call Zakk and ask for guitar lessons.. Would I buy their albums??? FUCK NO

Disturbed:
Again...WTF??? Serious suckage...I went to get a beer and a sandwich

System of a Down:
Well believe it or not..I actually enjoyed their 75 minute performance.. Its not my kind of music, but I have to say they are very artistic and good musicians. Unique is a word to describe them. Would i buy their albums? Fuck no, but I can appreciate their artistic abilities.

Ozzy:
Well, Ozzy looked older than dirt. But his overall performance wasnt bad for an old dude. I gotta give Ozzy all the respect, as I am a huge fan!! But Zakk's guitar playing was over the top...truly a work of art...a master of the axe!!!!!

Out of all those bands, SYL would be the only one i'd pay to see. I'm a big fan of the sabbath but i never cared much for his solo work so i wouldn't lose sleep if i missed that.

I was surprised to actually chat with Devin for about 10 minutes, he's a pretty cool guy. I got a kick out of Gene Hoglands autograph, he just wrote G HOG...hahahaha

I got drumsticks from the drummer of Norma Jean, Between The Buried and Me and from the drummer of Hatebreeed.

those 3 were probably the best shows here too, the crowd was most into them and Bleeding Through than anyone else.

B.L.S.!!! Heck yea! Zakk just rules! Although, I have to disagree with Noah, I have all of DragonForces CDs, although when you first hear it your like "WTF dudes" but then you listen to a lot of their stuff, they arnt that bad at all, you kinda have to get into it, They are from the UK and I enjoy their music, I have nothing against the screaming till you have no voice, but this is something my grandma and grandpa can actualy understand. They can play preaty good. I like Sam's Free had drinking ( one of his signature moves lol). But thats just me.

I hate Dragonforce.

was SOAD seriously the secound to last band to play? I really think the ONLY reason they are their is to gte popularity for Ozzfest.

Youre so lucky, I wanted to go to that. Im surprised that A7X didnt pull through for you, although I do find them a tad like a gaping pussy to listen to they arent bad. Tickets to both of their shows here sold out in 6 hours. I missed out on tickets but Im kind of glad I did now I read what you had to say.

BLS, Bleeding Through, both givens. I think anyone going knew they were going to be good.

I cant imagine SOAD would be there only for popularity. Theyre very original and you can get into it. I thought lots of people liked them, guess not, lol.

They are who they are and not any of these "real metal" bands you listen to.
And obviously they don't try to be real metal because they don't classify themselves as just metal.

Synyster Gates Guitar Solo

The lead singer's voice went out after their last album, waking the fallen (something happened, don't remember exactly what though). This past album, City Of Evil, has the lead singer still singing, but he can't scream. Listen to their old stuff. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet & Waking The Fallen. STST and WTF have the singer, Shadows, actually screaming and shit. I was a fan of them way back before they hit this mainstream shit. It was really hard to get used to, with Shadows front vocals being very different, but I got used to it.


SOAD & Disturbed shouldn't be on ozzfest. Thats kick ass that you got to see hatebreed. I really want their new album when it comes out. Just recently I saw that they were putting one out and it made my day.
