I'd have to go with Rock Band for the karaoke. Even if it is missing keyboards.

There's really little argument here. Rock Band is Guitar Hero plus drums and a vocalist. The only acceptable comment to be made is song selection, but even then you can buy songs for Rock Band with an X-Box Live account.

an argument can be made though, you can have a bassist and a guitarist dueling or playing together, cant call yourself a band you just play as the characters available yet in rock band you can have three people working together doing seperate things... synergism beats any type of song selection... rock band rocks harder because it gets you involved in every step of the song... period.

Rock Band is expensive. Plus the bar down the street has Guitar Hero night called the "Coloring Contest". Something I can finally participate in! I am so hooked on GH that I can actually play this game on the "hard" selection.

But, like I said, I haven't tried Rock Band and can't wait until I have the cash so I can.

I have never played Guitar Hero. But I played Rock Band last night, including the guitar, which I assume is pretty much exactly like Guitar Hero.

I'm going with Rock Band, if only because I prefer the drums. On Easy, like the pussy I am.

The only thing that really bugs me about Rock Band is that you can't switch instruments with your character. I shouldn't have to make three characters so that I can sing, play guitar, or play drums whenever I feel like it. But Admiral Cuddles (guitar), Rob Dyran (vocals), and Ringo Schwartz (drums) are a good team, I guess.

WOO-HOO! I finally beat a song on expert level on Guitar Hero! Mind you it was Slow Ride, but shit, I did it! That was friggin hard.

My brother got himself addicted to Guitar Hero III at a friend's birthday party, but I own the PS2 so he's expecting me to get it.

As a game unenthusiast... Guitar Hero is the only game to interest me in years, even the last Zelda was a miss for me. However my cousin just got Rock Band... I really want to try the drums. I shall have a real opinion in this forum soon.

I still say the only argument is in the song selection, but even that goes out the window with an X-Box Live account and some credit to blow. Rock Band is literally a slightly easier Guitar Hero plus a new instrument and karaoke.

But yeah, I haven't played as regularly as I was when the game came out, spending time with the girlfriend and all.

Yeah, but I can only play the easy songs on hard mode. Everything else is still medium.

I was gonna get Rock Band for Christmas, but Amazon screwed up their pre-orders.

I'm still planning on picking it up eventually though, mostly for the Drums.
