Shouldn't that be
cake or death?

Well, I was trying to decide between :cake: and pie at the time ...but I was sane enough to put "death" in as an option.
And, as an homage to Uen Detorik, "your mom."

Man, I couldn't decide. So naturally... "Your mom!"

Let them eat cake!
This is not a declaration for all time, just a whim of the moment.

Pie. Sometimes savoury, sometimes sweet, always delicious!
And also I'm Australian; I couldn't pick anything else. :(

Hey, I've had an Australian meat pie! There is a place here in NYC called the Tuck Shop that sells them. They are quite the delish. The dish. The fish. I don't really know about that last one, but the meat pies are good.

What is Australian meat pie like? I've only had the New England/Canadian kind, which is cooked ground beef mixed with mashed potatoes and peas, and then baked into a pie crust. May not sound like much, but DAMN it's good.
I was thinking of making, this winter, meat pies in more of a turnover type thing. Steak tips in mushroom gravy, inside a turnover crust. Still figuring out the logistics of that, but the idea is, at least, good.
I should have added cupcakes to the poll :cupcake: - I've been making lots lately, all different kinds. Mojito, even, with the lime and the mint! Those were yummy.

A traditional Australian Meat Pie is basically just beef mince in a peppery, oniony gravy sauce... all wrapped in crusty pastry. And of course with tomato sauce either on top, or squeezed into the middle through the top layer depending on personal preference of course. Best had with a beer in one hand, and pie in the other.
Of course now they come in all sorts of varieties like steak pieces, mushrooms, chicken and bacon, etc etc. ;) Same idea, just more varied fillings.
Lamingtons are also very nice and so is Pavlova.
 And that ends my absent streak. I come out of the woodworks to be all informative and stuff.
:chef: Also the smilies have suddenly become all fabulous since the last time I popped in!

Oh, my god, that sounds fantastic ... *drools pathetically*
(Also, I'm glad you like the smilies, although I want to find some clubs/spades/hearts/diamonds ones that don't have the white around them ... )

So what was with the crazy porn dude?
(Did anyone see that before I deleted it? Lots of pictures of porn. Sort of funny, but I deleted it anyway, and banninated him. *nods*)
