Title: Forum Activity Dieing....

Help me, my forum is dieing, the members are leaving and dont seem to com back.
Any ideas?

A Few ways to revive them would be, A new forum Revamp, COntests, Bulk Email.
Try a new look for your forum, the Hold a contest. Then Bulk your members when you have completed. Revamps get you alot of members back.

Have a revamp, but ask the members what THEY want to see. If they get most of what they want they'll be happy and be more active.

Also be creative and offer something unique and different in some sort of way that most other forums don't have, along with what Mico and Sakura said.

I suggest completly revamping your forum. Take time with it, don't rush just to see the result.
Add some unique forums, put your head down and think to your self what could my forum have that others don't have?
Finally bulk email members telling them all the new things that have happened when you revamped.
Once you have some members coming back try and find some new talented staff members.

make more subforums in your General Chat section.... i know this will get your members into an offtopic mood but it gives them more to post about, and jokes/games, etc give them reasons to come back.
Some ideas for general subforums are:
Science & Technology
Books & Literature
Politics, Culture and other Serious Topics
Food & Drink
Humour
Paranormality
Artwork and Digital Graphics

Think of something you would enjoy and roll with it on your forum and hopefully they're interested too.Try something new to spark interest as well.

I would send a Bulk Email out to your members and do some more promoting at other boards. Also work for affiliates. The more you have, the greater your chances of reeling in members.
