We were amongst those who chose to sell our lives in order to stall the undead advance. Those who chose to give the greatest mages and priests of our age the time needed to complete the life stone.

The plan was to engage the forces of the undead and tie them up for as long as possible. It was said the mages needed only a few hour to complete the ritual, surely we could manage that.

You would have thought that the army would have been dispirited as it marched out.
