Title: The Blacksmiths

Morgrim - April 20, 2006 11:48 PM (GMT)
Morgrim opens the door with a swift boot " Morning , anyone in? i need to borrow some of your tools!" morgrim sways under the weight of the troll plate amour " il be more than happy to lend out my services if you have anything else you need to be made!" morgrim falls into a heap , after which the armour falls into a heap ontop of him .

kiran deathbane - April 22, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
Following a fair distance behind Morgrim, Kiran stepped over the Ogre and placed the leg plates on the ground next to the rest of the armour, "Damn that troll needs to learn to listen better! Next time he can carry his own armour."

Laughing, Kiran tried to help Morgrim out from under the armour.

Master Roarke - April 23, 2006 10:46 AM (GMT)
The dozy eyed blacksmith saunters out of the backroom, evidently having thoroughly examined his eyelids for holes.
"Blimey! What have you lot been up to?!"
"Morgrim is that you under there?! I think that armour is a little big for you, unless you fancy putting wheels on it and hiding inside during battle and firing crossbows through little holes at the enemy....."
He ponders momentarily then shakes his head.
"Anyway, I take it you'll be wanting to borrow ma tools then?"

Bigred - April 23, 2006 04:28 PM (GMT)
Uthden charges into the smithy out of breath "sorwy "burp" too much Drink" as he bends down and starts to take off large chunks of plate from morgrim and kiran

Morgrim - April 23, 2006 06:38 PM (GMT)
"cheers , now lets get round to seeing the damage " morgrim checks each peice of armour for chinks and dents " where did you get this plate? not very good workmanship, il make you a better set , " Morgrim turns to master roarke " is there anything i can do in return for the use of your tools and materials?"

Bigred - April 24, 2006 06:41 PM (GMT)
Thankoo :D Morgrim

kiran deathbane - April 25, 2006 08:20 AM (GMT)
Keeping out of the way while Morgrim looked at the damage to Uthden's armour, Kiran leant on the wall, giving her bad leg a much needed rest after dragging the platemail. Looking around to make sure her Dwarven companion wasn't lurking in the blacksmiths, Kiran leant closer to Morgrim and Uthden,

"Oh, just a thought guys. No telling Katz about me nearly dying so many times. I don't think he'd appreciate them kind of stories. Not till he's drunk anyway."

Morgrim - April 25, 2006 02:37 PM (GMT)
"secrets safe with me ," Morgrim starts to patch the armour where it is ripped and gouged .,

Master Roarke - April 25, 2006 05:56 PM (GMT)
He rubs his chin and thinks for a moment.
"I can't think of anything you can do for me at the moment, but I'll give it some thought."

Bigred - April 25, 2006 08:24 PM (GMT)
Uthdan looks at kiran strangely then realises what she is trying to convey taps his nose "huh huh huh" (lol)

kiran deathbane - April 26, 2006 02:49 PM (GMT)
"Good good, thanks guys. The last thing I need after all that fighting is to start another one over something as silly as my head exploding."

Laughing, Kiran looks at all the work Morgrim has got ahead of him, "Uthden, you going to stay here and help out or do ya fancy coming back to the tavern for some drinks?"

Morgrim - April 26, 2006 03:10 PM (GMT)
Morgriom looks up at keiran , " ive got a good couple of days work here ! . bring me over an ale? " Morgrim folds the seams over at the edges of the breastplate with a heave .

Bigred - April 26, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
At the mention of the word drink Uthden looks at kiran and suddenly snatches her up onto his shoulders and stumbles off to the pub shouting Drink! Drink! Drink !Drink!

kiran deathbane - April 26, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
Nodding at Morgrim, Kiran is about to go out the door when she's scooped up and dumped on to Uthden's shoulders, "To the pub!"

Morgrim - April 26, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
Morgrim starts to thuud his hammer around the joins " allways BANG when BANG theres BANG drink BANG ive BANG gotta BANG do the dirty work !!" morgrim wipes his sweat off his brow to inspect his work .
It is an item worthy of his craftmanship , he notches a small M>P onto the breastplate and then oils the armour up for the trolls return.

Amadeus - May 6, 2006 01:46 PM (GMT)
"ANYONE HERE!?" Amadeus walks in and starts to look around. Not seeing anyone he slumps into a corner and starts to tweak and add things to his weapons. He eventually gets comfortable with his weapon in his hand and starts to sleep very lightly.

Amadeus - May 8, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
Amadeus wakes up and looks around. He tidy's himself up a little and starts to sharpen his dagger. "I love my job". He re-sheafs his dagger and leaves.

Isobel - May 18, 2006 03:02 PM (GMT)
Isobel walks in and sees Morgrim working at the forge

Hi Morgrim here let me tend the forge for you to keep an even heat and you can do the hard work the other end.
<Isobel keeps a steady pressure at the bellows until the coals glow almost white then fetches more coal and gets ready for a few hours of hard slog>

kiran deathbane - June 12, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
Making her way in to the Blacksmith's, Kiran looks around for something to clean the blood and gore from her armour, asking the Blacksmith's permission before sitting down and scrubbing the studded leather, cursing at the more stubborn stains.

Master Roarke - June 13, 2006 11:18 AM (GMT)
Sitting with a cup to his lips, Master Roarke entreats the attractive dwarf to continue her work. He nods approvingly at the white hot coals, then wishes he had manufactured the idea he'd had about a device to cool drinks.

Alasse Birchkin - July 20, 2006 06:00 PM (GMT)
The door opens a little way, and a rather tired-looking elf peers into the gloom. Not seeing anyone immediately, she enters, and calls out:
"Hello... Anyone here?.... Master Roarke?"

The heat from the forge makes her feel a little faint, so she sits down to wait in a quiet corner, and takes a drink from her water skin.

Master Roarke - July 20, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
The grizzled blacksmith peers out of the comparative gloom.
"Ello there young miss. What can I do you for?"

Alasse Birchkin - July 21, 2006 01:19 PM (GMT)
"Master Roarke? "

The elf rummages around in her little sack.

"My friend Morgrim said you were good at mending things made out of metal. I wondered if you could help me with these..."

The elf cautiously approaches the big blacksmith, holding out a shiny watering can with a hole in the bottom, and a rather buckled axle from a wheel barrow.

Master Roarke - July 28, 2006 04:21 PM (GMT)
He chuckles at the little elf, and considers the wheelbarrow and watering can.
"Yeah, should be able to patch those up no problem, you must look after your equipment, and it will look after you. If you use some light oil to rub down the watercan after drying it, it'll rust less quickly. As for the wheelbarrow....." He sucks his teeth lightly. "I don't know what you've been doing with this but it must have been something fairly severe. I can fix it, it'll take a bit o' time but I can fix it."
He grins.

Alasse Birchkin - August 6, 2006 04:20 PM (GMT)
The elf smiles shyly.

"Thank you sir. I'll pop back in a few days if that's alright? How much will I owe you, or would you settle for a bottle of elven wine?"

Master Roarke - August 7, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
His old eyes light up at the mention of such a delectable beverage.
"Why yes, that'll do very nicely!"
He claps his hands together and begins to heat up the forge.

~Book~ - October 18, 2006 10:39 PM (GMT)
*Book walks to the entrance and smiles* Tell me Kind sir... Hello??

I say could you tell me kind sir.. do you may Artificer standard weapons?

~Book~ - October 19, 2006 03:10 PM (GMT)
Ermm Hello????

Master Roarke - October 19, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
Master Roarke laughs, spluttering his tea over his leather apron.
"No laddie, very few have that kind of talent round here. Or the cash for it either."

~Book~ - October 19, 2006 08:09 PM (GMT)
*book looks crest fallen* Do you know of anyone that could do this type of work? Mainly I'm looking at weapons.. but armour will do also.

As you now I'm a mage and wearing armour is pointless. But you never know when a piece of armour will be needed for my fellows with no money. *Book smiles* and Sadly it needs to be top quality for a spell to take to it.

Of course that is not to say your work is not to quality.

Master Roarke - October 20, 2006 10:52 AM (GMT)
"I'm sure someone out there could do it, but i've not met 'em yet."
He shrugs and acknoledges the praise with a wave.
"I can do master crafted, an thas expensive enough. Most people round here can't afford that, and i reckon the materials would be even harder to find. Whas the point in learnin to make armour or weapons that no-one can afford?"
He shrugs again, more sadly.

~Book~ - October 20, 2006 11:26 AM (GMT)
*Book smiles*.. I would Pay dearly for an item of such quality. I'm sure I could get many a brave warrior to part with his money for an item.

We may even be able to gather the materials you require if they are special.

*Book looks around and makes sure they are alone* I am investigating a new way to help us fight the undead. I have learned a few techniques on how to power a weapon. However it needs to be of a certain quality. Best you keep it to yourself Master of the forge as I have not worked out the details...

Remember with my magics I can make a wind blow into your forge to heat it. I may be able to help somewhat in the process of making these new weapons and armour...

As I'm sure you know.. we are loosing against the undead. We need to fight back and hopefully I have found a way.

Of course if we succeed Master Roarke not only will you have money but fame also.

Think on it a while.. and see what you can come up with.

Master Roarke - October 21, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
The old man looks intriged by the mages suggestion.
"Aye, I'll be definately keeping that to meself."
He has a glint in his eye and rubs his hands for the challenge.

~Book~ - October 21, 2006 01:25 PM (GMT)
Thank you... I'll be around if you can come up with a way *Book smiles*

~Book~ - October 21, 2006 01:29 PM (GMT)
*book walks out of the forge*
