THEY ASKED US BECAUSE WE ARE NOT INVOLVED IN THEIR DISPUTES AND HAVE NO REASON TO BIAS OR TAINT THESE WORDS FOR OUR OWN GAIN OR TO GAVOUR ONE OF THE ELEMENTS. THE MESSAGE THEY SEND READS AS FOLLOWS:

To the mages of Rihona,
Certain recent events have forced us to alter our dealings with you. We provide magic to the world of Rihona according to the contract forged by Calderon. This new contract is good but has created problems on the planes that need to be addressed.
Henceforth all mages must not only choose an element to follow but they must also pledge allegiance to one of the houses of that realm. In return for their power, mages are expected to serve their house diligently or give a good reason for not doing so. Disobedience and disloyalty will not be tolerated. The only reason an instruction from you house should be ignored is when superseded by an order that is for the good of the plane as a whole.
Irrespective of which house you choose to join, all mages will be granted the same access to magic as they enjoy at the moment, your choice of house however will affect the access to favours and other powers the mage can call upon. The larger houses obviously have more recourses at their disposal but the smaller ones often have something a little more unusual they can permit mages to access should they choose.
