Title: Guard House

Sgt Tellos - October 23, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
**This is where the day to day running of the Guard occurs**

Sgt Tellos - October 23, 2005 02:56 PM (GMT)
<Tellos enters, shuts the door behind him and approaches the desk>

I need to speak with the duty officer please.

Bodger - October 25, 2005 08:25 PM (GMT)
A guard ambles his way from behind the desk.
"Yes, Sargent, what can I do for you?"

Sgt Tellos - October 25, 2005 10:35 PM (GMT)
Hello there Bodger, how's things?

Have you heard of a gentleman by the name of Ferret, apparantly he has annoyed a rather large Ogre by the name of Morgrum. Unless we find him first and sort this matter out, we will have another messy incident on our hands.

Bodger - October 27, 2005 05:43 PM (GMT)
Heh.... Ferret in trouble again... hang on..... what did this gentleman, a known kelptomaniac do to annoy Master Morgrum Pursesnatcher? Did they catch each other in their own pockets at the same time?

Sgt Tellos - October 27, 2005 10:49 PM (GMT)
Apparantly Ferret hired Morgrum and some his friends to do a job and then legged it without paying. They are obviously upset and would like to carve him up. I think it would be better if "we" sorted it, rather than letting civilians kill each other!!

Bodger - October 29, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
But has any crime taken place yet?

Sgt Tellos - October 29, 2005 04:46 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a theft, if Ferret hasn't paid for their service he has therefore stolen it.

Bodger - November 1, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
What was the service and was it completed?

Sgt Tellos - November 1, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
Morgrum and some of his fellows were hired by Ferret to accompany him on a journey, which they did. They haven't received payment for this task, as was agreed, and are know, understandably, feeling somewhat "agreived" by the situation.

Bodger - November 6, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
So was there an official on paper legal agreement between the two of these gentlemen, and what were the specific terms, I am still unsure as to what crime has taken place, and I don't believe we have the the people to cover every location just in case a crime is about to take place.....
Besides, between you and me, perhaps Ferret needs a short sharp shock to stop him to bring him to his senses and join the rest of the law abiding society?
We've never managed to finger him for anything, but he always looks like he's up to something.....

Sgt Tellos - November 6, 2005 07:25 AM (GMT)
It seems it was a verbal agreement, rather than an official signed contract.

The crime is theft of services, the same as if you asked Master Rourke to repair your armour and then legged it before paying.

As to letting Ferret getting a short sharp shock, from what was being said I think it will definitely be sharp, but on the down side I don't think they'll leave an awful lot of Ferret to rejoin society.

And as to him acting sucpiciously, surely it is our job to find out if he is actually comitting any crimes or if is just one of these people that looks guilty all the time.

(do'h wrong login) :ph43r:

Bodger - November 6, 2005 12:23 PM (GMT)
Righty ho then, if you could go and get an official statement from the aggrieved, note down EVERYTHING he says, then return here, and file the report in triplicate so we may begin investigations.

Sgt Tellos - November 6, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
OK, I shall return shortly.

<Tellos exits, closing the door behind him>

Ferret - November 9, 2005 11:32 AM (GMT)
QUOTE (Bodger @ Oct 27 2005, 05:43 PM)
... this gentleman, a known kelptomaniac do to annoy .....

Kelptomaniac - someone who uncontrollably collects seaweed?

I just look after things for people thats all!

OOC - still waiting on the ref to confirm how payment is supposed to be made, for some reason he never trusted me enough to give a large bag of gems... :-(

Ferret - November 27, 2005 10:36 PM (GMT)
<Ferret wonders back in, looking beaten up and covered in many bandages>
Just wanted to say that for the record, that payment issue never actually was an issue, bit of a memory blank there for a while, but basically nobody was actually promised payment, they were told that anything that we found along the way could be kept as payment, but most folk actually agreed to come along and help because it was the right thing to do.

Oh, and can you pass a message onto a guy called ... RalMorga I think it was, tell him thanks, and I think his intervention meant that some of us were able to help out several others, and in the end it mostly worked out pretty good.

<ferret then leaves, quickly, and nervously from being in a guard house>
