The area immediately around the moat surrounding the chapter house is laid to neatly kept lawns which bear the marks of being scythed regularly. A path of compacted gravel leads sinously to the rising causeway which allows entrance to the Chapte House via the solid Gatehouse. There are no concealed approaches to the Chapter House.

Sir Niall strolls down the causeway and out of the Chapter House. He takes time to talk to the two men-at-arms who are posted at the Gatehouse before walking out. He appears relaxed and unconcerned as he walks slowly away and heads towards the centre of Prodigio.

Ferret walks up, looks at the large expanse of ground with no apparent cover leading up to the chapter house, and ponders for a while.

Then he smiles to himself and wonders back into town, silently making a list...

Walking up the path towards the Chapter House are three Knights who are infrequently seen in Prodigio. Neither Sir Niall or Sir Caelwin are present among their numbers. Following a short distance behind are their accompanying retinue that appears to be composed of two squires and a small contingent of men-at-arms. As they enter the Chapter House they are saluted by the posted guards who usher them in.

Sir Niall walks back into the Chapter House stopping to talk to the house guards before entering. He appears occupied and deep in thought almost forgeting to stop and speak to the guards.

Sir Niall stands outside the main gatehouse connversing with the guards and enjoying the fresh air. In the distance he can see Tellos and Soot returning towards the centre of Prodigio. As he talks he tears apart a small round loaf taken from the kitchens. Finding it stale he tosses it into the moat. The loaf bobs back to the surface, causing waves of ripples to spread across the dark surface. A instant later something breaks the surface at breath-taking speed and the loaf disppears in a frenzied froth of water. Sir Niall does not even blink when this happens, he smiles then returns to his conversation with the guards.

Sir Niall bids a good evening to the guards and walks off into Prodigio.

Sir Caelwin strides confidently towards the gates.
"good evening Giles, everything fine this evening ?" he asks the guard on duty who smiles at the knight and nods
"All's fine with me my lord, going into town I take it," he replies
"I thought I'd take a stroll and find out the gossip, word is we may be leaving in a few weeks, myself, Sir Niall and we should be taking the cat along for the ride." Giles gives a thankful sigh.
"Thank the code for that, if she frightens me once more I swear I'll die of shock, all that creeping about the keep chasing rats and mice, it'll be a lot quieter without her sir. You go and have a nice night and say hello to Doris in the tavern my lord."

Caelwin leaves through the now opened gates and heads towards town, he eyes the moat carefully and is rewarded by the sight of ripples and bubbles in the water. Breeding season - he thinks to himself, the Gryup will be feisty for a few weeks. No chance of skinny dipping for a while. He heads towards the bright lights of Prodigio

Sir Niall walks up the causeway towards the main gate of the Chapter House. He stops and watches the moatfor a brief time, scanning it's waters for any signs of activity. As he turns away he smiles to himself.
He approaches the gates and spends time talking to the guards before entering the Chapter House.

<Tellos approaches the guards>

Hello, can you please inform Sir Caelwin and Sir Niall that the expedition to Escavon is about ready to depart and if they could join us in the Inn as soon as they are able, we will be off.

Thank You.

<Turns and heads back to the tavern>

The guard, a well dressed and neatly armoured warrior with spear and round shield, salutes and then nods politely.
"My lord, Sir Caelwin is already waiting in the inn, his belongings have been sent along and Sir Niall is in conversation with several of my lord knights. I understand that the squires have everything prepared."

Sir Niall exits the Chapter House and stops to speak to the guards. He bids farewell to them then crosses the causeway and walks towards the centre of Prodigio.

A short while later squire comes out huridly with his bag on his back and a very deturminded face.

His whole body seems to show that he is in the search for somebody specific and knows exactly where to find them.

Sir Caelwin of Cutha walks through the gates of the chapter house looking refreshed, clean clothed and is armed only with a dark blade at his hip. His armour is gone and he walks with a renewed purpose. He heads in the direction of the bright lights of the town, the evening is warm and opprressive, rain is in the air but at least not the down pour of his trip to Escavon.

Caelwin makes his way across the drawbridge and is saluted by the guards.
"Corperal if either Master Book or Sergeant Telos comes to the gates admit them immediately and send word, I'll be in the archives, thankyou" Caewlin heads inside the chapter house deep in thought.

<Tellos approaches the guards>

I believe Sir Caelwin is expecting me

Sir Caelwin comes to greet Tellos.
"Good of you to come, I'll arrange for some refreshments sent to the audience hall where we can talk in private. Please come this way." Caelwin leads the sergeant into the keep.

*Book approaches the guards*... One of your Knights has asked for me to enter and talk on matters of literature.. Please do be bloke and go fetch him....

Sir Caelwin comes to the gate and asks Master Book to enter. "Please come through to the audience chamber, I'll have refreshments brought in and then we can talk".

*book folows*... Oooo refreshments.. No Ale for me though... Can't think and drink if you know what I mean...

*Book walks out thinking very hard.. heading towards the inn..*

Sir Caelwin accompanied by a large red headed man leave the chapter house shortly after Master Book - The other knight is Sir Keldin of the Code, a resident of Prodigio for many years.
"Thanks you could come with me brother, your knowledge of the Order of Sortileges far outweighs my own. I hope Umbrial is in, we have many things to discuss." Calewin can be heard saying as they make their towards town.

"No problem brother, I know how much you hate study, I may even sneak a few drinks in the tavern if Sir Niall is still there when we are done." Keldin explains in reply.

Sir Niall approaches the Chapter House at speed, running up the causeway towards the Gatehouse. He calls out to the guards on duty and they catch the tail end as he sprints past into the Chapter House,


"...can't stop.....otherwise Squires going to eat eveything..."

Hot on the heals of Sir Niall come two more knights at a brisk trot, even in chainmail they know that speed is of the essence, squire has a healthy appetite and the slow have a tendency to go hungry.

"Afternoon corperal," Caelwin shouts as he heads into the chapterhouse.

As the nights approach the squire seems to be leaning on the sie of the entrance looking at some kind of timing device. He looks at them as he smiles.

"What's that about my appetite I can't elp it if youz knights don't have a very strong appetite do I. And your now getting better at your time keeping. I'd guess less than a minute. We'll get ya quicker than that some day."

A huge grin crosses his face

"And while you have your lunch you can explain to me what I missed. Oh and all your washings done."

Sir Niall shouts a reply to the Squire as he speeds past,

"It's not that you have a hearty appetite Squire, it's the fact that you have a hearty Ogre's appetite."

Sir Niall exits the gatehouse taking time to speak to the duty guards before walking into the centre of Prodigio. As he walks down the causeway the Chapter House moat looks ominously quiet.
