The Portal in the Depths

It was known by all that the troll city of Goleskanev was virtually impregnable. Its design was for one purpose only, to keep out any attacker who tried to break in. It was guarded by the trolls, a tough race with amazing healing abilities which make them the idea defenders of this place. When you add this up you get a city that no army ever managed to take.

Many have speculated that the city, even the fact that it’s the home of the trolls was somehow pre-arranged by some great power to create the most formidable defensive structure anywhere. Some even theorised that ancient magic was used in the construction of the city. What is certain us that the city was built with methods unknown, if they trolls themselves know then they are not willing to share.

The truth of the matter is Goleskanev was created to conceal a secret that we didn’t want to fall in to the wrong hands. Buried deep within the depths of the city is a portal to the source of magic for this world. The place where all magic spring from and the great tree known as the tree of eternal life grows amidst the energies.

The trolls were set as guardians of this place, to keep out all but those they saw as fit to visit such a place. They had control of the keys which revealed and opened the portal so that someone may pass through.

The keys were in the shape of a sceptre and 6 silver cups.

The *********** needed to be ****** from the *******in the ******* and placed at ******************** around the ***********. Each ****** needs to be ************ with **************. This will reveal the **************** but will not ********.

Once this is done the ************ needs to be placed in the ****** made for it in the ********** in the ************* and turned ************. This will open the portal and allow passage through to the source.

Two warnings must be given, firstly one you have completed these tasks you have little time to get to the troll Kings chamber and enter the portal or the portal will close once more and you will have to repeat the steps to opening. Second, the portal does not transport instantly to the source, you must pass through a place of madness where those who are not strong of mind are driven insane. Creatures reside here, but be wary of all, some bleed as you or I do but some do not and must be avoided at all costs.

In this place do not stray from the paths or you may be forever lost.
