No.. I have not changed my mind on the deal. It was well bargained and done.

I have a need to know the house I have joined.. and I need to know my new political stand point. Of course I am loyal to the house as it is loyal to me and we will further our .... goal.

Also... I have foudn that Avian has been snooping on my conversations through the use of magical spell. I do not enjoy this at all. If I'm going to have information and spread it to those who need it, I don't want a foolish idiot I can not harm or influence by a simple sleep spell running around knowing all that I say.


Yes yes of course I do not believe him and his vaunted powers and his boasts. I'd rather prfer I was not in the same house as him *Book has a look of Pleading*. After all he was rewarded for giving that Blasted Tray to fire when he should have been punished in a small way.. Yes it may have gained Air some kind of influence but still ... You can't go about giving powerful items to other people and not AIR.


He has also just told me... that he had the knowledge to do a proper ritual and failed to tell me. Now you may have dealt with him in your way Lord of Air.. but I have not.. So I'd like to know...

If I silence him or ... bind him... I'd not be upsetting you would I??? *Book again has a Pleading face*..

The elemental listens to the mage before him

"Understand this, each house wants the best people to serve it, we dont want imbecieles who have discovered some simple spell and think the world lays at their feet because of it, as such, what mages get up to is their own business as long as they further the aims of their house. If you attempt to bind this person you will do so without interferance from the elementals for all you would be proving is that he was not good enough to be a servant of his house. However there are two things you must be aware of. Firstly and most importantly, if by binding this individual you hindered your house or set back its aims then they will come looking for you. As such it is best to be sure he is not on some task for his house when you do whatever it is you are going to do. "

The elemental stops and looks as though in thought

"Having said that, a truly clever mage would learn what task their foe is to perform, allow their foe to do the work and then act, removing their foe and claiming the prize for himself so he could present the achievement as his own, gaining not only victory over his enemy but also the favour of the elementals. Such an act would mark a mage for great things.

Secondly you need to consider that only a fool would not have contingencies in place against attack, whether that be against an enemy or another mage, he may have pacts with elementals you do not know about that only come in to force when someone acts against him. Equally he maybe a fool and has no preparations but a mage who neglects such things deserves whats coming to him.

You are obviously a mage of ambition with great plans and the potential to be a great member of your house so I listen closely.

If you serve your house then you serve air, they are one and the same at this time for your house is the one who is ruling the plane of air therefore what they do is the best for air so by serving them you benifit air as a whole. Remember that.

You mentioned that spells are being used to eavesdrop on you, get used to it! Mages have warred amongst themselves for power for centuries and it will never change. Avian obviously sees you as a great threat to him if he is devoting so much time and power to observing you, consider it a compliment that he fears you so. Once you have the power and knowledge you seek then you will be able to thwart such spells with barely a thought, until then remember you are now involved in the political games of the elements, guard your words, say one thing but mean another, play the game, you do not need to know the spells to anhillate your opponent with a word to strike fear in to them. The fact that you opponent fears you is a sign you are on the right track, perhaps you should up your game a little and really unsettle him.

Finally, a mage should know that magic is a finite recource and you cannot defend yourself when you have exhaused your supply. Cultivate allies in your cause they may be the grain of sand that tips the scales between victory and defeat."

One other question.. has a half elmental ever been bound into a weapon before??

It would be amusing to bind half of him into a weapon and present the other half with it. Of course I would not be idiot enough to make a weapon that could harm me.. only a fool would do such...


*Book Bows lightly* Another question Lord of Air... How would my services at this time help gain more.... leveridge over the other elments? I am loathesome to destroy these great magical items as the others are. Not that I wish to see something trapped..but as we of air think.. "If you are foolish enough to allow yourself to be trapped then you are best suited to stay that way"..

"The half elementals as you call them are few in number they have their uses but they also have their limitations. While they gain great strength by having the advantages of both the mortal and the elemental forms they also gain the weaknesses of each form too. I do not believe that any half elemental has been bound in to a weapon but such a thing is possible if you pay attention to what I told you about such things when we last spoke

As for the leaverage over other elementals, that relies on your own ingenuity, you do not need to destroy things to earn their favour but you could get hold of something they want or perform a task they want done. However, be careful, only one mage in history has been able to juggle the requests of more than one element and keep them happy and NEVER EVER forget where your loyalties lie.

You should also know that as a servant of Air, the servants of Earth will be the hardest for you to bend in to your plans."

*Book Smiles*... is there any service you require... Most of my comrades have a quest to go on... I shall be going on this to. It seems I'm one of the few mages they don't need so I shall not be showing my powers off. I will let Fire and water maes take all the glory. I shall simply be tehre to ensure everythign is fair and everything goes safely.

I will be collecting books as per normal... but if I happen to gain something specfically for air at the request.... Well it wouldn't hurt.. *Book smiles*

Oh yes .. did I mention I have a Tower built by an Earth Elemental.. They are quite easy to dupe you know.. *Book blinks and Grins*

*Book Smiles*... I am not sure... is the political situation any different than I know? Any new alliances with oher elmentals?.... what is Air's stand point on the emergence of Angels.. I have tried to find some information on them.. even what language they speak. However nothing.

"The political situation on the elemental plane of Air is much as it has been. Lyph is currently ruling the plane and looks very stable in that rule as they have been doing a good job thus far. It seems that Lyph has made some recent alliances in the plane of fire but links are teninous at best.

The angel emergence is a good thing for air and for the world in general. They speak angelic which is a deriviative of the language of air"

"The language is not so hard to learn if you already know elemental air."

That's something I'm going to have to learn I think... And learn how to read it. Always very facinating things you elemntals have to say.

HOw quickly would it be to learn Air language?

"You should be able to pick up the basics of the language quite quickly however some of the more complex aspects of the language such as the grammar may take considerably longer to master"

It would be nice to converse with Air Elementals in their language.. do you not find this common tongue a bit annoying... Especially as you have to talk to us in it, and we ask for your help. If I was you I'd consider us quite rude. It's why I'm always sorry I can't talk Air's tongue.
