The day is drawing to a close and there is a roaring fire in the hearth. There are already a few patrons in the inn.

tetsuzowi quietly walks to the bar and gets a drink and then sits in the corner and shuffles a pack of cards

Elsquare slowly drags his weary legs into the strangely quiet inn, and after checking the bar prices haven't changes since his last visit he orders a glass of milk. Noticing tetsuzowi he gives a nod in his direction before sitting down to rest in a shady corner.

tetsuzowi gives a nod back to Elsquare and starts to play solitaire with his battered cards thinking to himself

*Trelaine staggers in somewhat tired looking and with his armour in pieces making his way to a seat he collapses down before signalling to the barkeep for a drink*

'Well that was fun...least the lizardmen are safe for now and we have an unstoppable killing machine to put out to aid us.....just now need to stop the guard from deciding its a troll invasion and getting themselves killed.'

tetsuzowi looks at Trelaine and quietly says "true,but what will we do if the do think it is a troll invasion,surely we cannot kill the guard?".he then gets another drink and continues playing cards!!

Big blonde hair and a pink hat walks in through the door. Brushing leaves off her pink woolen coat, Tsuga looks up and sees Elsquare. She waves at her new acquaintance and gets a drink. She sits down next to Tetsu, takes her hat and hits him round the head with it, mumbling "Numpty".
Then notices Trelaine "evening" and smiles.

tetsuzowi looks at Tsuga and says "why you call me numpty?is it because i 'protect the archers in battle' and stay alive or is it because of the whole mendak thing i can use it for good and that must be a good thing" he then sits in silence and in contemplation

Trelaine Grins....'I like the way you think however I was more concerned that the guards get themselves all killed fighting the pit trolls...I think the fact the trolls cannot be killed is a significant enough advantage that they themselves will survive. The general guardsman is not normally bright enough to realise when he is beat...Telos for example was one of their best men'....

As Tsuga enter he returns the smile and says 'evening to you also....I hope the trip back to our fair base of operations has been less eventful than our stay in lizard lands.'

tetsuzowi looks sharply under the hood of his cloak towards Trelaine "but then if Telos is a guard himself then maybe her can send a messenger to the rest of the guard informing them of the recent happenings to prevent the whole situation.but we can only hope that that is possible and if it is then hope even more that the messenger can reach them in time and does not get killed along the way!i really don't want to fight anymore pit trolls to save the guard after all the pit trolls are a lot stronger than the guard"tetsuzowi then pulls out 5 aces from the same pack and continues quietly "and after all i hold loyalty to no-one!!"

*Book walks into the inn.. with a limp and a bandage around his head. His hand still bandaged*...

Good morning..... *book pats his bag with a grimace* Yes fidget keep quiet I'll see if we can feed youa mouse or something..

'He was one of their best men he's left there ranks now so I doubt his word would carry much weight....Hopefully the pit trolls will be low profile for a while before moving out. When I've had a rest i'll go see umbrial at the order of sortileges. She has a rank with the guard and maybe able to speak to someone high enough to prevent a very messy end to some guardsmen.'

*Book orders a water.. and Sighs*...

<Tellos enters the Inn, orders an ale from the barman and moves to join his compatriots>

Evening all, that was certainly an experience!!

We'll need to somehow inform the council about the Ratkin working in league with the Lich King. I'll pop over the order later and see if Umbrial can pass word to General Galeb.

In the meantime <raises his tankard> here's to NO more Ratkin bordellos!!!<Has a BIG swig>

From the back of the inn "a new face or two nice to see you you are back Mr Tellos ar you ok Book you look ill, ha blonde like a have a drink with me bach hear...

The even bigger and now blue troll enters the inn looking rather worse for wear clumping over in the direction of the bar he places a small chunk of gold on the bar, reaches behind and grabs a barrel of ale, sticks his lil pinky through the top to break the seal and starts gulping for all he's worth. when he's finished he grabs another and heads over towards tellos and says "DRIIINK!!!" smiling he squats on the floor.

Watching the group of heroes return to the tavern after an obviously painful and tiring journey, Laninia stands quietly from her place at the bar. Making her way to Trelaine, and falling to her knees, head bowed down low, the young Elven woman speaks quietly,

"Old one, do you or your friends need my assistance? You all look to have seen better days and I am well rested and have the healers hut all set up, awaiting your return."

'Oh dear...' mumbles Trelaine...'Thought we had got you out of all the nodding and bowing stuff....up up up...' he says while indicating for lani to stand... 'I am not too bad we have had several days travel to restore ourselves....Fear not for our remaining wounds appear far worse than they actually are.' noticing the big blue thing enter the in...' What the....????' he says with a raised eyebrow...'You been on the funny mushrooms again uthden?'

Raising her head to look at Trelaine, obviously about to reply to the Druid, Lani also sees the large Troll, her face paling in fear as she scrabbled backwards, under a table, too scared to even attempt to stand.

Hey Ufden, nice shade of blue! I'll share a drink or two with you.

turning back to speak to Lani again Trelaine turns to see nothing but thin air....tapping himself on the side of the head with his hand...'Hmm...I'm sure there was a elf here a minute ago...' Casually taking a drink he looks around to see if anyone say him talking to the figment of his imagination while trying not to look to embarrassed.

tetsuzowi notices uthden enter the bar and bows his head to him.he then turnes to tsuga and says "i notice uthden is now blue"and then contiunes to pull out 12 kings of hearts from the same pace of batterd cards

"My congratulations Uthden on your change of colour. Let me buy you a drink."

*The now Green Book looks at the Big Blue thing*... Is that how sunburn goes on a troll???????


*Book grips his mugg of water and downs it*... BARKEEPPPPP!!!! YOUR STRONGEST BEVERAGE! AND MAKE IT SNAPPY!!! I have a MEMORY TO ERASE!! If I don't hurry up about it.... *Book looks like some one has kicked him in a very delicate place*

*peering under the table Trelaine spots the cowering form of Lani...* 'You can come out young one, Thats meerly uthden he's just grown a bit...as long as you dont ask for a demonstration of his new toys he'll be safe enough to be around.' *offers a hand to help Lani out from her hidy hole*

tetsuzowi looks over towards Trelaine and sees him talking to a form of a woman under the table and quietley says to her "Trelaine is right he is ok but i agree,just please don't ask for a demonstration of his new toys"*chuckles and then stops with the return of the memory of uthden's new toys*he then gets comfortable for a little nap on the bar stool!!

There's no need to be scared of Ufden, Lani. He's a big softie really

*Book Smiles*... Those toys are fine and dandy.. but I might give up spell casting.. It's not gone well for me..

All I wanted was to help.. gain a little knowledge about creating magical weapons.. Help us in the fight against the undead. Arm the Army of our little outpost and charge in.. That's all I wanted.

Shyly taking Trelaine's hand, Lani climbed out from her place under the table, flushing with embarressment for the way she had reacted. Realising she was still holding Trelaine's hand, moments after he'd aided her, her face reddened even further,

"Oh..My apologies Old one.."

Letting him go, Laninia stepped back slightly, bowing her head once more as she kept an eye on the Troll, having only seen a green Troll before that had scared her with just a smile.

Noticing the shaking laninia uthden walks very slowly and carefully towards her (thinking to himself this is how i used to hunt wabbits) when he reaches her he picks her up very gently and places her seated on the edge of the bar. EVERYBODY SO NICE TO UTHDEY EVERYONE BUYING HIM DRIIINK. A large smile, and a small tear form in his left eye. ITS UTHDEYS BITHDAY I IS BLU NOW

slightly blushing as a reaction to Lani's blushing trelaine says 'No apology neccesary...' and once Uthden has moved lani to the bar...'See he can be sort of gentle....he's even quite a pleasant sort once you can understand what he's talking about.'

A man wearing the livery of the Knights of the Code walks into the bar, a piece of paper in his hand. He walks towards the notice board and staples the page to the board.

The message reads.

To Largos, your presence is required by faith of the blood oath taken in the lizard kin lands. Report to the chapter house of the knights of the code and present yourself to Sir Caelwin of Cutha, there to be kept in protective custody until such time as your innocence can be verified. Failure to do so will give great credence to your guilt and prove useful to your enemies.

The squire turns and leaves the tavern.

tetsuzowi wakes slightley after book's comment and turnes to him and satys "that was a very noble thing to say,but why would you give up magic if you really want to make better armour and wepons for the forces of the protected zone,if you give up now you will never be able to do that,truse me persovirance is the key to everything you have a usefull skill in your hands and one day you will come to realise it"he then turnes towards Laninia and nods then says "nice to meet you accuantince m'aam i see you have made a new friend!"he then turnes back to book and nods in respect befors getting up and getting another drink then returning to the bar and comments "i hope Largos will be ok?"

At that moment the door to the tavern quietly opens and in steps Largos.

He takes a quick look around, scanning the faces of those present. He fairly warmly acknowledges those that he meets. Upon see Elsquare he prompty walks over to him and places a small purse, that sounds full of gems on the tbale in front of him.

"Heres the payment for the potion that you gave me whilst i the LiardKin lands"

With that he turns and heads towards the bar

Hi Largos, seems you might be in a spot of bother. <points to the notice on the wall>

It's probably best if you go know, I'll go with you and hopefully we should avoid any trouble.

"Why thankyou Largos! Always a pleasure doing business with you"

[Elsquare glances at the notice on the wall and pauses for a moment of thought. He pulls a similarly sized sheet out of a pouch and mouths the figure 200 before slipping it away again and smiling to himself]

"Seems you notoriety precedes you Largos perhaps it is the warriors of light who should offer you lodgings for the time being as it was us that swore an oath to watch you until your name was cleared"

But there are only 3 of us at the moment and we are also under investigation. At least the Knights have a sizeable force, if needs be, and have a better standing in the eyes of the council.
