Title: Generals Office

Kernus Vale - June 7, 2007 09:23 AM (GMT)
The first room you enter is a small reception room. There are two heavily armed and armoured guards either side of the door both wearing an ornate armour that looks to have cost more than a years wages.

With Kernus leading he approaches the door between the guards and opens it in to a larger room.

Sitting at the rear of the room there is the General. In front of the him there is a meticulously tidy desk and several sheets of paper he appears to be working on. The decor appears functional rather than decorative.

Kernus approaches the General and Salutes. The General Looks up at him.

Omnipotent Overlord - June 7, 2007 09:28 AM (GMT)
General Galeb "You are out of uniform Captain"

Kernus "Apologies Sir, circumstances required me to assume my new duties a few days earlier than intended Sir"

General Galeb "I see, so what brings you here now"

Kernus "These Gentlemen have requested and audience Sir, I think you may find what they have to say very interesting"

General Galeb (Looking at the party) "Very well, what have you to tell me that is so interesting?"

infyrana - June 7, 2007 11:39 AM (GMT)
Following through the gates and hearing the shut and barred doors behind, uneasily walking with a straight back and a proud feeling to be introduced to such high officials so early on in his new found adventures. It seems almost like a whirlwind of life flipping past his eyes so very quickly, both wonderous and practical furniture and adorning fixtures, ornate suits of armour and no doubt skilled guardsmen. It's as if coming from pauper to visiting the likes of a king ! Surely I need to learn more of this man to understand who it is that we are dealing with ? Perhaps I should invest in a little more interest with diplomacy and local history - a visit to the library when we get back to the Chapter House is needed.

Still feeling very much out of place in this new land, Sir Val seeks from the corner of his eyes the gestures of the few other knights and of Largos. Unsure where to even begin with the recent events or how it ties up to the goings on around, Val decides it best to keep from making a fool of himself or saying words that may put us in places we don't deserve and keeps very quiet... a brief pause of thought allows his mind to wander for his fellows for just a moment, ahh poor Book, I wonder how he is, the shuffling of papers quickly brings Val back to room and the real thought something here could either go terrible wrong, or more frightfully right ! Where will this bring us along our roads ...

Sir Caelwin - June 9, 2007 07:42 PM (GMT)
Caelwin steps forward.

"My Lord General, allow me to introduce myself although I would be surprised if you did not know who I was and who I represent already. I am Sir Caelwin of Cutha, Knight of the Code. I come to you bringing Largos. I know that a bouty has already been taken for him but I assure you he is very much alive and in need of a new identity. I bring him before you because sooner or later if he stays at the chapter house his identity will be revealed. He has been the pawn in an effort to discredit myself and many who fight beside me in our war against the undead.
You are aware I beleive from reports that we recently defended the lizardkin lands against an undead foe and in the resulting release of the pit lord and his pit trolls offered a sound defeat to our enemy. The claim I now make is one that I claim my honour on, the enemy ravaging the lands around Excevon last year and helpful in allying with Lord Malnear to attack the lizardkin lands is Lord Malnears descendant, a death knight who once betrayed the city of Galashnev and the old king. Lord Malnear is inleague with him and many can coroborate my accusation. The problem is he knows that we have discovered this and wants is dishonoured or dead, whichever is easier. I know I have little proof except eyewitness testimony but many that you do trust have witnessed the same. I know not of a way of stopping him although I have sworn an oath to kill the death knight, an oath made on the fallen body of Sir Granville.
Your support would be grateful and also an ear to bring information that could aid us in the war should we find any in our conflicts.

Omnipotent Overlord - June 13, 2007 11:38 AM (GMT)
The General absorbs the barrage of information before speaking

"So this gentleman here is the supposedly deceased Largos whom is alleged to have murdered an emissary of Lord Malnear and I believe you are trying to tell me is innocent and is simply being used as some kind of tool.

While it is not unheard of for such political games to be played, I do have to wonder about the part of this story where he died.

What would Lord Malnear gain from faking the death of Largos except to deprive himself of the tool you claim he has created? By killing him off he cannot use Largos to discret your further although I am interested to know how he has been used to discredit you thus far."

infyrana - June 13, 2007 04:07 PM (GMT)
Sir Val steps forward cautiously, unsure even if his words may well be just unwanted dusting. Addressing the General...

"If you'll permit me to speak please..."

Val pauses for that accepting nod.

"My name is Sir Vallee of the Knights Hospitallers, I am an outsider in these lands and still trying to grasp the bigger picture before us. My view comes from an outsider, so please do forgive my political ignorance in these matters."

Pausing for breath and taking caution that his words are not misplaced.

"I have been with Sir Caelwin and Largos on their most recent adventures, and unfortunately I too had been mixed up in this rather unwanted ruckus. It was clear to see the divider in our group when we were made aware of the implications that Largos stands accused of. I cannot speak for Largos' character as I do not know him well enough, but I can speak of his most recent actions that I have seen with my own eyes, and as testiment he stands here before you awaiting the outcome of our meeting."

"We managed to succeed in our exploits as described by Sir Caelwin, but the gloom of the emissaries death hanging over us every step of those adventures took a toll upon all of us. We have only succeeded through the skin of our teeth by good will and our own honourable actions in order to come this far with all that we have achieved and all that we hope to achieve. I do wonder if there are other hidden agendas which we are not yet aware of that might benefit from the political uproar the death of an emissary is bound to create ? We hope that in coming to you we can begin to resolve this issue with Largos in a safe satisfactory manner through the right channels with the best possibility to uncover the truth before the damage is done and sealed."

Val steps back and keeps his toes crossed in the hope that his words are read as positively and politely as they were meant.

Sir Caelwin - June 15, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
"I believe that Largos was just a means to an end for the death of the emisseries and the blaming of one in the care of the lizard kin gave Lord Malnear an excuse to march his troops to the border knowing that the Lizardkin king would have to retaliate by sending his forces to the front. This meant that his forces were stretched thin elsewhere. That gave him the chance to send in his undead troops to attack from within. The plan was thwarted by us as we held the border pass therefore meaning that lizardkin reinforcements could be sent to hotspots of undead attacks within their realm.
I know this seems far fetched and I have little proof except that these actions did take place. What I don't have is proof of Lord Malnears involvement except that myself and many others witnessed the death knight Malnear within Escavon helping the Lord. I'm not sure who is the master but I would suggest that it is the undead rather than the living Malnear. What I need to know from you is, do you beleive me and my comrades and can we call on you for support for I have sworn to kill this death knight and I very much doubt that Malnear is going to sit by and let this happen." Caelwin ends his speach and takes a deep breath.

Omnipotent Overlord - June 22, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
The General listens to what Sir Caelwin has to say

"I am curious, initially you said that Largos was involved in a plot to discredit you yet now you say he was involved in a ruse to allow Malnear to attack the Lizard-Kin. Which is it?"

He thinks for a moment

"I am aware of your actions in relation to the Lizard-Kin as I have spoken ith their emissariy recently and they speak highly of you and your friends however I am also aware of your reputations and the bad blood between you and Malnear.

What this means is that while I am inclined to take your word for what you have told me or at least would be inclined if your story made more sense. It will be impossible to do much about it without some concrete evidence.

If what you say is true then I will of course use all the recourses at my disposal to see Malnear removed from his position of power and this Death Knight destroyed once and for all, the protected zone cannot stand with such an abomination in our midst. But with only the word of someone known to be at odds with Lord Malnear to go on there is nothing I can do. He would easily side step any challenged based on that."

Sir Caelwin - July 3, 2007 06:32 AM (GMT)
"I understand your concersn general. Largos has been used as a scapegoat but you only have my thoughts on the matter. If you don't mind I will leave him with you to discuss matters further for I am needed elsewhere. I sm shortly to return to the troll city of Galashnev to rebuild our chapter house there. I assume you are aware that we have retaken this city ? If not then we can talk of this later as well. I would ask that it be possible for me to relay actions and information we might gather in our increasing efforts to free the land."
After a few more minutes of discussion Sir Caelwin bows to the general and exits the office to leave a rather silent Largos in his wake.

infyrana - July 3, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)
Sir Val nods positively at the idea to send back information, as well as with the idea of leaving Largos with the general.

Bowing respectively, he takes his leave alongside Sir Caelwin.

infyrana - July 5, 2007 05:08 PM (GMT)
OOC - I hope that the lack of response is fine for me to shift my character out of the General's office to have a walk abouts...

Largos - July 8, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
With the exit of Sir Val & Sir Caelwin Largos steps forward with the purposes of addressing the general. He removes his helm and says.

"If i may speak general, I am am Larogs and as you know i have for all intensive purposes been pronounced dead"

"Am sure the reasons behind why i was initially implicated in the assassination and as to why it has recently come to light that Kell may have committed the afore said crime and claimed my head will reveal themselves in the near future. No doubt to Lord Malnear's advantage in regards to this."

"My Sir Caelwin and Sir Val have more than covered the details pertaining to that subject....For me i wish to remain dead. Assuming a new identity would allow me to continue to fight the hordes of undead that plague the walls of the protected zone & potentially uncover more of what may really be going with Lord Malnear, without drawing anymore suspicion onto those that i have traveled in the past."

Largos waits a few seconds to catch his breath.

"What is your view on this stratagem General?"

Omnipotent Overlord - August 3, 2007 02:14 PM (GMT)
The General stands and shakes Largos by the hand.

"Come walk with me"

He leads Largos off through a set of doors at the rear of the room
